“Guh!” Carey exclaimed as he stooped and fell over into the thick snow.
The zombie growled and went after him to finish the job. The Orb fell out of Carey’s hand and crawled under Ram’s feet, who picked it up and watched in horror. Ashanti stood on top of the same mountain, waiting for Carey to unleash his powers, so that she could defeat him- it was a waste of time for her to fight some normal human being. She wanted to face the one who took her down on that hill. Carey felt immense pain in his chest and slowly raised himself up to look at his opponent. Surely this man was not normal- his eyes were red and his skin white as snow. The man stomped through the thick snow with his hands raised in terror. Carey looked at the Princess, she seemed fine and was at a safe distance from him. He wondered how he was supposed to fight this monster- surely if he didn’t fight back, he would be torn to pieces. So he decided to defend himself and raised his fists to fight but it was easier said than done. The monster grabbed him by his throat and raised him above the ground as he struggled to set himself free.
“God! I’m going to die, I’m going to…” he kept thinking.
Suddenly he felt something in his guts- it was an overbearing sense of power and strong will. He grabbed the zombie’s hand and released himself from his clutches. And while he did so, he managed to kick him on his face. It was a terrific feeling to be had for it would seem that he didn’t have to pass out anymore to be able to recall his powers- he was able to control it now.
“Ram! Take Care of the Orb and the Princess, I will teach this thug a lesson!” he cried out and Ram nodded.
High atop the mountain, Ashanti was observing Carey and her interest peaked the moment she saw him fight back. The zombie rushed at him once again and Carey suddenly knew what to do. His chest grew warm as a powerful surge of energy flowed through his spine. He rushed at the zombie and ducked and swept his feet. The zombie fell face first into the snow and for a moment it didn’t move a muscle. Ashanti smirked seeing that finally the foreigner was showing his true nature. She watched and waited for the opportune moment to strike. The zombie picked himself up, gnawing and clawing in the snow and rushed at Carey once again, throwing punches and kicks at him one after the other. But Carey managed to dodge and defend himself while throwing back punches equally. Ashanti grinded her teeth, this was taking too long. She raised her right hand and pointed towards the zombie and chanted some unholy phrases, to give him extra powers. Surely enough, out of nowhere, an axe appeared in his hand. Carey was surprised and braced himself. The zombie slashed his axe left and right but Carey managed to dodge it somehow.
Princess Meena and Ram Babu watched with nervous anticipation and shock as the two of them fought over the rocks and snow. She realized that Carey could fight better than her- the moves were right out of the elite warrior handbook. It was as if Carey had trained for years in combat. She got close to Ram and took the Orb from his hand. As she did so, Ashanti noticed something glistening in the distance. She looked and saw Meena with a metal object in her hand. Through her magical senses, Ashanti realized that the particular object was extraordinary and it made her curious to know what it was. She wondered if this the source of the foreigner’s power. It wouldn’t be so hard for her to acquire it from her hands but first she had to watch the life drain out of his eyes. She anxiously stooped and watch the fight that was going on below. It would seem that the foreigner was well matched in power and skills.
Carey sparred with the zombie rebel chief for a few minutes until with one powerful punch, he broke the zombie’s jaw. But even with a dislocated jaw, that evil being was unstoppable. The punch only made him angrier and he knocked Carey off of his feet and kicked him again which sent Carey flying a few feet away. Carey groaned in pain and the Princess came running over to him.
“Get up! Mr. Carey, finish him,” she said helping him stand up.
“What on earth is that thing?” he said catching his breath.
“Whatever it is, its black magic, he seems to be possessed or enchanted,” replied the Princess.
But there was no time for chit chat, the zombie came flying at him.
“Give me that sword of yours,” said Carey, taking the longsword off of the Princess’ hands.
Before the zombie could strike, Carey ran towards him with the sharp sword and got underneath and somehow managed to plunge the sword right through his heart. The monster suddenly stopped moving and that was the end of the zombie rebel chief. Carey pushed his motionless body to the side and kicked him to see if he was still alive.
“Yeah, come on now? Who’s the champ, huh?” said Carey triumphantly.
“He’s dead Sahib!” Ram Babu cried out from a safe distance.
The Princess took the sword away from Carey’s hands and observed that the blood on it was blue. She was sure that this was some kind of sorcery. Ashanti couldn’t believe her eyes. The foreigner has proven to be quite skilful and now it was time for her to test how strong was he against her renewed and powerful black magic. Carey and the others were only catching their breaths when they saw a shadow in the sky blocking the sun. It looked like a bird or rather a balloon but no it was death herself- plunging at them from the top of the mountain…
