When I opened my eyes, I was met by harsh lights. I fluttered my eyes slowly, taking in my surroundings. I realized I was in the nurse's office. My whole body ached. My head and my ribs throbbed painfully. Blinking, I tried to sit up but I instantly regretted it as a sharp pain shot through my side.
"Easy there," a voice said. It was Rachel. She had a concerned look on her face.
"Rachel..." I said "You brought me here?"
"Yes. You fainted"
"I figured. Thanks for helping me"
"Helping you? I didn't even do anything and I'm so sorry that I couldn't defend you. tried to stop her, Brianna. I really did, but she was too strong."
