Ch:4 Detention

It was hella hectic day for Edwina. She attended all her classes. Edwina gets detention for not completing her assignment. It was for the first time. Lydia always messes up with her but it's the first time when she lost her homework. It happened all because of Lydia. No, Edwina will get late to go back home. Professor Flinch asked her to do the fifty rounds of the academy grounds. Edwina was a very bright student it was for the first time when she made a mistake that was not actually her mistake. But the rules were so strict. So, she gets detention.

Damn, he will be so angry with her... Edwina thought about her guardian stares on her... A layer of fear run all over her body. She was still stirred up by the event that happens with her in the library. But she can handle that but if her guardian will get angry. She will be doomed.

What will she do now? She has to tell Louis that she will be late. So, he will inform her guardian. Louis is an informer that gives all her information in the mansion. He is hired here to keep an eye on Edwina.

The time will be over soon... She has to find Louis. She lookout in all the corridors, libraries, classes, and canteen. But he was not here... Edwina's walkout from the huge gates of the academy to find if Louis is outside. He will be leaving any minute now, she has to get to him fast. Edwina doesn't want more trouble for today. It's the training session time so he will on the training ground. Edwina runs towards the training grounds.

Finally, her eyes caught his glimpse. She saw him. A tall black-headed boy with ice blue eyes. Here he is... She heaved a sigh of relief. He was standing with his friends. He starts walking out towards the gate. She saw the boys leaving the premises.

Okay, she has to get to him. Edwina runs towards the group of boys. She was going to reach him when she suddenly bumped in someone... Edwina was going to hit the ground so badly but the other person grabbed her wrist. He pulled her towards him. She hit his hard muscular chest.

"Damn, who the hell?" Edwina was going to complete her sentence. But she feels the sparks where their skin contacted. Does he feel that? Edwina's eyes meet Robert. But he was standing with a poker face. He moved her away from his body. She just stands quietly.

"I am sorry," Edwina said. Robert shrugged his shoulder walking away... She stares his back for some time. Edwina, what are you doing? Get a grip. She scolded herself. As Edwina saw towards the gate. Louis was going to move out...

Damn, s**t!!! No, way. I cannot let him go. She screamed his name.

"Louis..." Louis was out of the gate. But hearing her scream he walks back inside. He stopped in his tracks. He saw Edwina running towards him... She was huffing taking huge deep breaths. She stopped in front of him.

"Rose, why are you huffing as you run a hundred miles? What happened? Everything fine!!!" He asked worriedly.

Edwina stopped to take a breath then inhaling fresh air in her tired lungs. She said.

"Louis, I want to inform you about something..." She said in a low tone. Louis looks up at her face.

"Yeah, what is it? Why you look so tensed? " He asked looking at her nervous expressions.

"Louis, I got a detention." She said. Louis's expression changed from worried to shocking.

"Wait!!! Edwina, you got detention? Are you joking?" Louis asked shocked.

"No, Louis. I am not joking. I got detention from professor Flinch." She said. Louis was still processing the information she just delivered.

"Haha, it is unbelievable. How? How did you get a detention? The brightest of the students. No way, it is a prank? Right!!!" He said coming out from his shocked state. He was laughing.

"Louis, it's not a joke. Damn!!!" She made a pout.

"Haha, okay, okay. So, what do you want me to do? I can make professor flinch fall asleep so we will sneak out." He winked laughing hard. Edwina punched him in the arm.

"Louis, will you be serious for a moment?" She pouted. He stopped laughing looking at her worried face.

"Okay, Rose. Why you look so upset? Did something happen? I am sorry. I was annoying. How did you get detention? You completed your assignment right?" He said being serious. Edwina looks at his face. She thought to tell him about the morning incident but he will tell him.

"Yeah, I am fine. No, nothing happened. I forget the assignment back at home. I just want you to inform Master Drayke. I will be late coming back home." Edwina finally tells him the reason.

"Oh, " Louis made a pouty face.

"Rose, I am sorry but I can not do that..." He said. Edwina's eyes widen at his outburst.

"What do you mean? You are going back home right?" She asked. He shook his head in no manner.

"No, Rose. We are going on the training and patrol the boundaries of the academy. Edwina then remembered it is Saturday.

Damn, she is domed.

"Rose, I am sorry but I can not do anything about it. I am getting late for the first round. Take care." Louis said walking out of the gate leaving Edwina in a shocked and horrified state.

Master Drayke... I am sorry!!! She thought. She then walks with lazy steps inside the Academy. She can not use her supernatural speed. She has to complete her detention in her human speed. Edwina moves towards the front of the academy. It is time, she has to do it. As she reaches the ground she saw no one was there, it means she is alone. Edwina pouted.

Edwin starts running on the ground, she was counting her rounds. The academy grounds were so huge. It takes her two hours to complete fifty rounds. When she completed her punishment. She feels her legs sore. Damn, it hurts. Edwina cried sitting on the front stairs. She has to do hurry. It's almost 5:00 in the evening.

The academy was empty. All the students went back home. It is time. Yes, she finally can go home. Edwina walks towards the chamber of teachers. She stopped on the door of Professor Flinch then knocked on it three times.

"Come in." Professor Flinch said. Edwina walks inside with her sore legs. Damn, it is terrible. Her legs were hurting so badly.

"Sir, I completed my detention. Can I go home now?" She asked. Professor Flinch looks at her state.

"Miss Ambrose, you are a very good student. I was not expecting such irresponsibility from you. I hope it will never happen again..." He said. Edwina nodded her head.

"Professor, it will not happen again..." She said.

"Okay, Miss Ambrose. I hope you will bring your assignment on Monday. You can go home now. Be careful, it is Saturday." He said giving her life advice.

"Yes Sir. Thank you." Edwina said then walk out from his chamber.

Finally, she heaved a deep breath. Edwina then calls her wolf. She healed her pain. Edwina runs out from the Academy as fast as she can... She again crosses the forest.

Edwina saw the mansion from far. She has to cross the bridge then she will reach home. Edwina prays that Master Drayke will not be at home. She closed her eyes then opened them again... She starts walking on the bridge. As she was halfway crossing the bridge. A huge creature appeared from the cold water... The water splash from the side it appeared. Edwina put her hands on her mouth to not scream. She saw the creature.

"Oh, damn. What the s**t!!! Hydra, you freaked me out." She shouted at the creature. Edwina put her hand over her heart. The white snowy dragon was flying in the air. She looks towards the naive girl standing on the bridge.

The dragon then landed on the near snowy ground. It shifted into a very beautiful girl. The girl has white hairs with ice skin, her beautiful big eyes were glinting with naughtiness, her white gown hugged her body so beautifully. She is a Hydra. The Queen of the snow water dragons.

"Haha, Rose!!! It is you. I thought someone is trespassing." Hydra said. She was standing on the other side of the bridge.

"Hydra, damn. Hear my heartbeat. I was going to get a heart attack." Edwina said again... Hydra laughed hard.

"Haha, why are you late? It is not your time crossing the bridge." She asked from Edwina.

"Yeah, something happened in the academy. I have to get back home. I am in a hurry. We will talk later." Edwina said running back towards her house.

"Rose, be careful. Master get into a fight in the morning. He is in the mansion. He is already very angry." Hydra warned her. She shouted on her back but Edwina didn't hear her. Finally, she reaches home. Edwina opened the door as slowly as it was possible. She takes off her shoes not to make any sound.

She sneaks inside slowly. The mansion was covered in the dark. She doesn't feel anyone's presence. It means Master Drayke is not home. Edwina heaved a sigh of relief. As she was walking towards the stair to get inside her room.

"Edwina Ambrose, can you tell me the reason for you coming late from the academy and sneaking inside your own house like thieves." She heard her deep voice ranging in the lounge. It resonates in the air with the authority. Damn, s**t!!! Edwin turns around to saw those two fiery red eyes in the dark. He was looking towards her...
