Dave took a deep breath and stared at the door in front of him. The only barrier between him and Cassidy
He reached out a trembling hand and rang the doorbell again, his heart pounding in his chest
“Cassidy…” he muttered.
He was sure she was home, she had to be home however there was no one answering him, he almost pounded on the door but that would get him nowhere.
Patience. He needed patience. Goddamn it! Why wasn't she answering?
He ran a hand through his hair again and took a step back, staring at the house in its entirety
The sound of his phone ringing jolted him out of his reverie and he took out his phone and put it to his ear angrily.
“Hello?” His voice came out as a low bark as he took a few steps backward and turned his back on the house so that he could talk to the person
