“I’m very much sure you are ready to go home, right Cassy?” Dave teased her, trying to put a smile on her face as she looked really worn out very early in the morning.
“I am, at least, to settle every confusing thing.”
As they loaded the last of their bags into the car, Cassidy couldn’t help but notice the emptiness around them. "It looks like Mira and Nova have already left," she remarked, glancing at the now vacant rooms across the hall.
Dave nodded, his jaw set in a hard line. "Not surprising. After everything that went down, I’m sure they didn’t want to stick around."
Cassidy sighed, "I guess it’s just us now," she said, trying to push aside the uneasy feeling in her stomach. “Ryan, dear, come here.” She said, carrying the young lad into the car.
