The only sound at the dinner table is the clink of knives and forks on our plates.
It's awkward beyond belief.
For once, my mom is actually silent and my dad isn't even asking Finn the standard boyfriend questions.
Finns usual charming comments are not present and my nervous word vomit has escaped me.
I shovel my food into my mouth as fast as I can to escape the table. Finn copies me and as soon as we are done, Finn thanks my mom and dad and we escape to my room.
Finn slumps against my closed bedroom door and groans.
"That was the most awkward thing I've ever experienced."
I nod in agreement, "Me too."
We both pause.
"Why were you in 'numerous fights' as my dad called them?"
He sighs and drags a hand over his face.
"Before I met you, I wasn't exactly a nerd as you know. I smoked and drank and went to wild parties and got into fights. I can't excuse my behavior, but since I met you, I've let all that go."
It hits me then, that I still haven't asked Finn about what me and Daniel were told by Cas in the library.
"I have something I need to talk to you about." I start.
He looks slightly annoyed. "Don't you see. Before I met you, I wasn't anywhere near perfect. But I've changed my ways for you. Please."
He sounds pleading.
"Can I just ask you why you dumped Ashley the way you did? Why didn't you want a serious relationship?"
"There's only one reason for what I did. I was waiting for my mate. When a relationship I was in that I wasn't really invested in anyway started getting serious, I dumped the girl. I was waiting for you Amelia."
He's gazing into my eyes and I want to be mad with him but there's nothing but love for him in my heart.
"Okay. We can let all this go. I don't care about your past. Only our present." He looks very relieved.
"If there's anything you still need to tell me, now would be the time." I say.
He takes my hand and pulls me over to the bed. "I need you to trust me and believe me. There is nothing else."
He buries his head in my neck and takes a deep breath.
His voice is muffled when he speaks, "do you know how much I love your scent. It's addictive."
I blush at his words. Good thing he can't see my face. "I kinda love yours too." I confess.
"What is mine?" He asks.
"Woods and rain and something spicy." I say.
He breaths in again. "Yours is.. Vanilla and cinnamon and chocolate and fresh air, like a waterfall. It's lovely."
My blush only intensifies.

We were lying on my bed still, three hours later. It's about 10:30 and neither of us want to move or face my parents.
We were both lying on our backs when Finn rolls onto his stomach, lying across me with his head in my neck again.
"Come stay over at the pack house with me. You can meet my parents then."
My heart skipped a beat at the thought of meeting them.
"I do want to stay over.. But I don't want to meet your parents. They aren't going to like me."
He rolled back onto his back and I put my head onto his chest.
"They are going to love you. You have nothing to worry about." He reassured me.
***
I take a deep breath in.
"Don't be so nervous. They're going to love you." Finn pulls me into a hug.
"Let's get this thing over with." I repeat my words from earlier.
Finn looks amused and I can see he's stifling a laugh.
"Stop it." I warn him.
He shakes his head and opens the door to the pack house.
It's surprisingly quiet, seeing as it's only about 11 on a Friday night.
"Everyone's out back having a bit of a party." Finn explains.
He leads me up a gorgeous staircase and along a hallway of about 10 bedrooms.
I look at him confused. "Don't you want to join the party?"
He shakes his head. "I'm not quite ready to share you yet. I hope you don't mind just watching some Netflix and eating popcorn."
"Are you kidding?! Oh hell YAS." I say excitedly.
I run and jump onto his very big bed and look around at his room properly, for the first time.
It's not overly messy or neat. Just normal. It's spacious, and he has a lovely bay window with a built-in couch underneath. His colour scheme is grey, navy blue and black, and I really like it.
He has a messy desk next to his bed made of dark oak wood and a big flat screen tv mounted on the wall opposite his bed.
Seeing as I didn't really think staying at his house through and I didn't bring any clothes, Finn throws me a pair of his sweatpants and a white t-shirt.
It smells exactly of him, and I definitely don't plan on returning these clothes to him.
I go into his on suite bathroom which is huge, and put Finns clothes on.
When I return, Finn is lying on his bed on his laptop.
I'm shy all of a sudden, standing there in his t-shirt and sweatpants.
Before I can retreat back to the bathroom he looks up and sees me standing there.
He smiles and sets the laptop down next to him.
"I absolutely love you in my clothes." He says.
"I absolutely love your clothes." I say.
He smirks and stands up, kissing me gently.
Before either of us even realize, someone bursts in through the bedroom door.
"I heard you come in and-"
A pretty, older lady stands there, an embarrassed and flustered look on her face.
I push Finn away from me and wish the ground would swallow me up.
"Amelia, this is my mom, Gabriella."
