Just in front of them was another long wood and it seemed to stretch out along the coastline with the sea on their right. The Prince entered the wood ahead of Yolisa. There was a mossy path twisting among the trees and they were obliged to ride again in single file. Then suddenly, in what Yolisa thought must be the very centre of the wood, she saw a roof. It was so unexpected that she thought perhaps it was just the trick of the moonlight. As they moved further on and the trees thinned, she saw in front of her that there was a Church. It was only a small Church, which appeared to be built of wood. There was a cross over the doorway and steps up to a large oak door.
