Chapter 5
Erika slowly warmed up to having a dog in the house. Bunny did bark at the Roomba the first few times she encountered it scooting around the floor, but Austin showed her how it wasn’t dangerous and gave her treats whenever he turned it on. Eventually when she heard its motor she came looking for her snacks instead of trying to fend it off. With the weather warming up, they also hired one of the neighborhood kids to mow their backyard twice a month. Austin made sure to take Bunny on long walks while the lawnmower was in use.
