It took Austin a week to figure out he was in love. His second Night of Sorrow, as he called it, didn’t go quite as planned. He didn’t achieve the deep level of despair he wanted to because Neil was there the whole time supporting him. Austin even tried lying on the couch talking about all the bad things he had ever done, but Neil wouldn’t let him beat himself up over it.
