Author’s Note
I love rain, and I also like chocolate! And I have good memories of scholarly conferences in San Francisco—I wanted Wes to have those, too. (Plus some sneaky little nods to real-life Academic Friends. And Indiana Jones.) But, of course, life isn’t always easy, and sometimes conferences happen on Valentine’s Day, and the entire weekend’s full of rain!
Still, they make it work. Because they love each other, and they’re in this together, for better or worse, rain or shine, with sugar and a little spice, too.
This isn’t really the proposal story—I’ve got something in mind for that—but it is a promise. We’ll get to the proposal soon…
