The rest of the night had passed by relatively uneventfully. My father gave me a long speech about not accepting my responsibilities to the pack that I probably listened to a quarter of. I was over his lectures about doing what was best for the pack, and not caring about what would be in my best interest like any caring father would. I was especially sick of hearing how rejecting Dominik was the only logical choice I could make, and how I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't.
