Chapter 3: The Moment Right Before Climax

Time slowly ticked by without any of us really noticing. After a whole minute passed by, I finally did something. I turned my head, flustered just as Ava screamed in shock.

Having said that, she filled all of our cups to the brim. We toasted and threw the drinks back. 

I only took a small gulp, but the two ladies actually downed their entire cup! 

“Don’t drink so quickly. Red wine hits harder later. You’ll be drunk before you know it.” I advised. 

Lilian’s face was flushed red after her first drink, tugging at my heartstrings. Ava’s face was also red as she laughed boisterously, “It matters very little. It’s not like we’re outside drinking! If we have too much to drink, you can just take care of the both of us. It’s not like you’ll take advantage of us, right?!” 

I pretended to laugh along like I could not care less about it but inside, I secretly thought that if she did really drink too much, I might not be able to get a hold of myself. After all, they were such pretty girls. 

Lilian suddenly filled both our cups with more wine before toasting to me, thanking me for helping her out earlier. 

I was originally planning to never bring up the matter again, but now that she mentioned it, I didn’t know what to say to her. I just nodded, saying something along the lines that we were all family, and none of it really mattered.

Ava smirked, wanting to know what I helped Lilian with.
