Dylan lowered his head and sighed. He pulled away from me and gestured for me to walk ahead of him. “Ladies first,” he said, more than a twinge of frustration in his voice. I gave him a sad smile before I walked to the clerk. Part of me was frustrated by the interruption, but part of me felt that was not the time or place for that. I wasn’t even sure if it was the right guy for it. But still…a kiss would have been nice. “He’s in room 105,” the clerk told us. “Go through those double doors and turn right. It will be just a few doors down on the left.” “Thank you,” I told her. Dylan held open the door for me, and we walked in silence to Logan’s room. There was a nurse inside and Logan looked to be asleep in the bed. “He’s still
