Gardens

“Well maybe we can visit the gardens, or I can give you a short tour around the outside. We can’t won’t be able to go far, though. It is getting close to nightfall, and I think a storm is rolling in.” Jayce says. “Gwen I would love to go with you, but I would like to give Cedric a hand painting the cottage he just built. That way, he can head in before the rain. Do look around at the clothes I put away for you. I would love to hear how you like them.” “I will forever be grateful for you, Rio!” “ It really was my pleasure. Oh, and Jayce, I left a bird perch stand in front of your door. Goldie is going to need it soon, and it needs a little assembly.” “I will take care of it. Thanks, Rio.” “Bye Rio!” She leaves the room, and I can’t stop loving up on Goldie. She is such a sweet little thing. I don’t know how little she will be for long, though. I put her in the carrier and stand up so I can strap it around my shoulder like a purse. “How about we do the tour backwards, so you end up back here? We can stop and eat after being outside, and hopefully, we will miss the rain.” “Sounds good to me.” I say, smiling up at him and taking his hand in mine. His hand is so big that it makes mine look so small. It’s kind of funny to look at. “What a beauty” he says to himself. I let it go like I didn’t hear it. He is so unbelievably sexy and amazing. He could have anyone, so I don’t know why he bothers with me honestly. “Where are we going first?” “Let’s go to the elevator and head out to my favorite garden first.” “I can’t wait!” I feel like I am going to get to know Jayce more. I wonder what kind of garden is his favorite or what will make it his favorite. Outside, we make our way around the house. There are lots of places to sit and eat out here. I can see where they are putting in a giant pool. They have solar panels and giant windmills to create power. Jayce said that some of the equipment in the gym creates power, too. This entire place is so clean and beautiful, seeing as it's separated from humans. Werewolves are sort of like humans, but we value nature and the earth more. We do our best to take care of it. We follow this delightful stone path into a luxurious garden full of fruit trees and plants. There are nice places to sit in the sun and in the shade. He takes me to the middle where there is a gazebo. “Jayce is this your favorite garden?” “It is. You see that apple tree right in the middle there?” “The one surrounded by the marigolds?” “Yeah, I planted that here 10 years ago with my brothers ashes.” “Jayce I am so sorry.” I feel so bad that he had a loss so big. Being an only child, I will never know his pain. “Don’t be sorry we weren’t that close. We were 30 years apart in age. He always was on mom’s side, and I was on dad’s so we hardly got along. I put this here for mom. The flowers represent all of her babies she miscarried. I thought if she had a place to visit and grieve, it would give her peace.” “That was a kind thing for you to do.” “It didn’t work. My brother was supposed to take over my dad’s pack, and that’s why I put together my own. My mom was used to ordering him around and telling him how to run it. Then, one day, he lost his mind. I think maybe mom pushed him too far. He fought his way through an outside pack and was killed by their Alpha. Now you must understand my mom hasn’t been right in the head ever since. She can’t stand the fact that I don’t listen to her. That’s why dad is taking her somewhere nice to retire away from here.” I set Goldie down on one of the seats and hugged his giant arm to try and soothe him. He looks down at me and doesn’t appear to be so sad anymore. “Can I ask you something, Jayce?” “Sure what is it?” “If this didn’t help your mom, why is it your favorite? Why not any of the other gardens?” “I feel like I can finally be at peace with my brother here. Now that our mother isn’t looking over his shoulder anymore. Also, because of the strawberry patches. I love the taste of strawberries.” “Oh yeah?” “Yeah” He says right before kissing me. He takes my breath away every time we touch like this. He runs his hands down my backside and squeezes my *ss. He lifts me up and sets me down on the railing without breaking our kiss. I wrap my legs around him as if it was done on instinct. The air feels electric as the wind picks up whipping around us. He leans me back, holding my head in his hand, kissing and sucking my neck. The more he leans, the more his hard on rubs against my core. I want more friction, so I start pulling him in tighter with my legs. He lets out a grunt that only turns me on further. Booom We both pull away at the sound of thunder and look up at the sky. “We better hurry inside. It’s supposed to get nasty tonight. Get on my back.” “What?” He closes Goldie’s carrier and holds it in his hand securely. He squats down in front of me. “Climb up, baby girl.” I take a deep breath and let it out. Another crack of thunder gives me the push I need, and I climb onto his back. I wrap my arms around him and hold on for dear life as he zips through the yard back inside the front entrance. We miss the rain by only seconds. He bends down, and I let go of him. He sets Goldie down safely on the doorway bench. “That was fun!” “My turn!” He says, throwing his arms over my shoulders and putting some of his weight on my back. “Noooo! You’re too heavy!” I say, letting uncontrollable giggles out. “Are you laughing now, too?” He’s right, I wasn’t internally laughing. That all came out. No one has made me laugh, especially in such a short amount of time. I don’t think I have laughed once out loud since I lost my parents. He is so amazing, I don’t feel like I deserve him. “Maybe.” I say calming down. “ Are you hungry?” “Yes I am, but can I go and get cleaned up first. I need to get this coffee covered shirt off of me.” “I will walk you up then come get you when dinner is ready.” “That sounds good. How long will I have to get ready.” “If someone prepped for me, it will be about an hour.” “Wait are you going to be cooking?” He takes my hand, and I get Goldie before he starts walking me to my room. “I love cooking for people it makes me feel like I am taking care of them, and I want to take care of you the most.” “How did you learn to cook?” “ When I was 18, I took a bunch of different jobs all over. My brother was chosen to take over the pack, and I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I cooked at a restaurant, worked on cars and motorcycles for a while. My favorite was doing piercings at a tattoo shop. I wasn’t good enough at art to tattoo, but I have steady, strong hands to handle a piercing needle. I ended up opening my own place for werewolves to get piercings. I managed to find a witch to work with, and we created jewelry that magically stayed with us through shifting.” “ That is astounding. Do you think you can give me a piercing or two?” “I will give you as many as your heart desires beautiful. Here is your key.” He dangles a key in front of me, and I take it. I unlock my door and turn on the light. “SURPRISE!” “I jump back a little to see Rio, Cedric, and Lily standing in the room. The room looks so beautiful, too. There is now finished wallpaper that is a plum color. There also is a sitting area with a couple of chairs and a little coffee table just to the side of the t.v. I can now watch it from there or my bed. Oh, and my bed has plum Colored comforters that match the rest of the room. It looks so much better in here. “Wow how did you all do this so fast? I thought you were busy painting Rio.” “I lied, what can I say. We had thought you could use a welcome home gift and I had to buy some time.” “A welcome home gift?” They are welcoming me home. They want me to stay? “Come and see your new closet!” Rio says while grabbing my hand. I walk with her into the closet, and it doesn’t look at all how it used to. There are tons of clothes hung up and a new dresser that is double the size of the old one. It still looks bigger here since the lights and mirrors make it feel more spacious. “A vanity!” “I know you don’t know makeup yet, but I made sure you have a well equipped place to practice. Even if you chose to move to Jayce’s room in the near future, this room can still be a safe place for you to go.” “Thank you!” I say and hug her. “Rio I am going to have dinner with Jayce. After this, what should I wear?” She hums to herself for a moment. Then she walks over to the hanging dresses and pulls out a red one. It is so gorgeous looking. It’s silky and long with a slight flow to it. “I can’t wear red.” “Why not?” I think back to being attacked by my foster dad and hug myself. I really do love red, but I’m scared. It’s no longer a rule for me, but what if I am attacked again by someone else. “Is it safe?” “To wear red? Yes, it is safe. Nothing and no one will harm you here, Gwen. None of us would allow it.” “Why are you all so willing to protect and accept me? You all don’t even know me.” “ In the short time I have known you, you have won me over, Gwen. That’s not easy to do. Your story breaks my heart, yet you are so kind and humble despite it. Jayce told me he added you to his bank account. If he had done that with any of those annoying superficial b*tches, they would be spending in the thousands by now. I bet you have forgotten all about it didn’t you?” “Yeah, but I have been nothing but spoiled here. I just want to repay you all so badly.” “Then stay, take care of the pack the best you can. Most importantly, wear this red dress and make Jayce drool over you. You can name your firstborn after me.” My cheeks burn up, and I feel shy. I never think I am ready to do anything s****l until Jayce touches me. Talking about it is a bit scary for me still. “Awe you are so cute when you blush.” She teases me. “ I will wear the dress, but what about my hair and makeup?” “ We will figure something out. Let’s just join everyone real quick before they have to go.”
