Jealousy

He pulls away and gently sets me back onto my feet. I feel a little disappointed by this, but once I see everyone looking, I am extremely glad we stopped. He holds my face in his hands and gives me one last peck on my lips. Before pulling away fully, he stops by my ear. “Sorry I had to stop, but I am afraid I would have marked you if we kept going.” He whispers to me. I understand despite feeling all hot and bothered. There is a throbbing tingling feeling down in my core that is hard to ignore. Everyone is still staring, and it’s awkward. “The show is over. Get back to work!” Jayce yells Everyone immediately dispersed, pretending they didn’t just watch what we did. I would be lying if I said the authority he shows didn’t seduce me further. I bite my lip, trying to suppress my feelings. “How about we get going?” He says to me. My stomach growls on queue, making him chuckle. I grab his hand, trying to stay close to him as we make our way back to the car. He starts giving Rio a death glare, causing her to put her head down. “Don’t be mad at her, Jayce! She is the only reason I stayed in the car as long as I did. I just felt so bad for not giving you a kiss that I had to see you and make it right. She had a hold on me but dropped her guard just enough when you came out that I was able to slip away. It really isn’t her fault.” He runs his hands down his face in frustration. I can tell that I am throwing him through a loop. “Fine! Rio, you are off the hook this time.” Rio runs off before he can change his mind. Jayce opens the car door for me again. It still feels as magical as the first time. Even though he is frustrated, he still is gentle closing the car door. I couldn’t even tell you the number of times my body had been hit with doors. One time, my pinky even broke from being slammed in a car door. Once Jayce gets in, I feel some excitement to get food. I haven’t had a real breakfast in forever. Jayce starts the car and then looks at me. “What?” “You are going to be real wild now that you are free aren’t you?” “Free?” “ If you didn’t notice, you are in charge of your own life now.” He is right. I have no parent or foster parents to tell me what I can or can’t do anymore. I am about to be done with school as well. “ I am not trying to be wild.” “Well I am having a hard time keeping you out of trouble, and this is only day two. Not to mention that kiss. Do you even know what that kiss did to me?” I shake my head no. “Here let me show you.” He takes my hand, and I give it to him willingly. He slides my hand down the side of his leg. I feel a rather thick and long outline of something going down his leg. “What is this?” “My hard-on sweetheart.” I pull my hand back real fast. “But it’s so big? Wouldn’t that split someone in half? They don’t seem that big in textbooks.” He starts laughing, almost uncontrollably cutting me off, thank goodness. Can you blame me for freaking out. That foster dad I had was the only p***s I have ever seen outside of a drawing, and it was probably the size of half a candy bar. “I can assure you that it won’t cause any harm, only pleasure.” He tells me with a smirk. I still don’t know, though it seems a bit intimidating to me. He parks the car in front of a charming breakfast diner. “Wait here just a moment, Gwen.” He hops out of the car and opens the door for me. “Thank you!” “This is our first date. After all, I need to make sure I start it off right.” He holds my hand, interlocking our fingers as we walk in. The place wasn’t too busy, thankfully. I am starving, and I can’t wait to eat. “Do you want a booth or a table?” The woman at the door asks. “Is a booth fine?” Jayce asks me. “Anything would be fine with me.” “Booth it is.” She walks us over and hands us menus. “Your waitress will be over in a moment. “ “Thank you!” We both tell her. “I have never been out to eat before.” “Do you mean to a diner?” “ No, like to anywhere. My parents never took me out to the human world, and once I got here, no one wanted to spend the money on me.” “Well it sounds like we need to go on a lot more dates.” “I would like that. I just wish my birthday would come so we could fully know if we are mates.” I whisper to him. The waitress stands next to our table. She is young but probably two or three years older than me. She has sandy blond hair in a high pony and lots of makeup on. “Can I start you out with some drinks?” “I will have a coffee black, and what would you like beauty?” The waitress snaps her eyes back at me like I did something wrong. It makes me feel uncomfortable. “A water will be fine, thank you.” “Are you sure? You can get whatever you want.” “A water should be fine for her. “ The waitress says before I can say anything. It feels like she is being rude, but I don’t want any trouble. “Yeah it’s fine.” I agree to get her to go away. When she walks away, I look at my menu. There is a lot to choose from. “Do you know what you want to eat, beauty?” “I only know that I want pancakes. I haven’t had them in a long time.” “Get the big breakfast then. I think you will like it.” “If it has pancakes, then I am in.” The waitress comes back with our drinks. She puts mine down a little aggressively. What is her problem? She sets down Jayce’s coffee slowly so that his face is directly in front of her exposed cleavage. I feel something inside me start to crack. This makes me mad, but a different kind of mad. She hasn’t actually done anything, but I kind of want to rip her hair out. She pulls out a napkin from her bra and sets it in front of him. Gross! “What the hell is this?” Jayce says in a harsh voice. “My number handsome. Just thought you would like to take out a real woman.” This is making me furious now. I know I am young, but I am a real woman. Also, what right does she even have to be near him. I swear I am so close to breaking every one of her manicured fingers. Jayce stands up out of the booth, pushing her away with his arm. “ Seymour over here now!” He bellows out at the staff. A man in a suite runs over, pushing the staff out of his way. “Yes Mr. Cooper, what can I do for you.” “Seymour this waitress is ruining my date. She thinks it’s okay to hit on me and insult my woman. Fire her!” “Right away, sir!” “What!” The waitress looks baffled. I feel just a ping of satisfaction. That probably sounds bad, but there is a force of anger in me trying to claw its way out. I can’t help it. “Polly this is the second stunt you have pulled like this. You are fired. Get out now, I will mail you your last pay.” “But sir!” “Polly get out now!” She rips off her apron and shoves it into the man’s chest before stomping out the door. “Mr. Cooper, I apologize to you and your date for her behavior. Please give me your orders and I will have the kitchen make it ahead of time for your troubles.” “Thank you, Seymour. We will both be having the big breakfast. Beauty, would you like to try their iced sweet tea as well it’s really good.” “ Sure, that sounds good.” “Add the sweet tea, and that will be all Seymour. “ “Thank you, sir. I will get your orders in right away, and as always, the bill will be on us.” He walks away, speeding into the kitchen. “What was that about? Why did he listen to you?” “I gave him the money to open this place, and he is still paying it off. I gave him a good deal, too. I am letting him pay off some of it with meals. I am sorry if that was too much, though. I just couldn’t let someone disrespect you like that.” “I hate to admit it, but I am relieved you did that. I know I shouldn’t be happy about it, but for some reason, she just made me mad. It’s a kind of mad I never felt before.” “You mean she made you feel jealous.” “Jealous?” “Don’t tell me you never been jealous before.” “I have, but it was more about kids having things I knew I wouldn’t get anymore. Things like a birthday cake or Christmas presents. Sometimes, I would just be jealous of kids with families but never jealous over a person. Not like this.” “I was never jealous over a person until I met you beauty, and it is crazy how hard it is for me to control it. It hurts me worse that you thought you would never get those things again. You will have a family with me and our pack you will see.” I give him a weak smile. I still have to work on that. If we really are going to be a family, I have to trust him more. This is our first date, though, so I probably shouldn’t get ahead of myself either. A new waitress comes back with our food. She looks to be around 40 and seems much more friendly than the last girl. “Well I never thought I would see the day you would bring a date in here.” “She isn’t just my date, Dorothy.” He puts his hand up, hiding his mouth so it would seem like I can’t hear him. “She’s the one!” It’s hard not to smile. “Well you certainly are the prettiest thing I have seen walk through those doors. What’s your name, darling?” “It’s Gwen.” I managed to spit out. For some reason, I feel like I can’t hide behind my old name anymore. Looking at Jayce, he seems really pleased with me using my real name. “Oh what a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. You just holler if you need anything sugar.” “Okay.” I squeak out. She has a southern hospitality feel to her. I wish I could hear her story. After she walks away, I look at my plate. There is a stack of 3 pancakes and 3 strips of bacon. A bowl of fruit and toast on the side as well. “Yum!” I take a strip of bacon and bite off a piece. It is still a little hot, and it tastes so savory and salty. I moan in delight as I eat a few strawberries out of the bowl. They gave us a few different syrups, so I tried the blueberry. When the first bite of pancakes makes it to my mouth, I feel like I am in heaven. Maybe I did die back there somewhere. I look up, and Jayce hasn’t taken a bite of his food yet. “Is something wrong with your food?” “No its just so hot the way you eat.” “Your weird.” I tell him playfully. Taking a sip of my sweet tea, I moan again. It is so delicious and it is so refreshing at the same time. “This is so good. Can we make it at home?” Wait, did I just say at home? I slowly look up, and by Jayce’s face, I can tell I definitely just did. “I mean, back at your house. “ “I think you had it right the first time beauty.” I sit back and look at my food. I feel very full all of a sudden. It’s probably because my stomach isn’t used to having so much food in it. “Are you okay, Gwen?”. “Yes I just haven’t eaten this much in years. I don’t think I can finish this.” “It’s alright, we can get going.” “We can stay until you finish eating if you want Jayce.” “No I am full too.” He stands up and grabs out his wallet, pulling out two one hundred dollar bills and placing them under his plate. “ How much does a big breakfast cost exactly?” I am shocked by how much he is paying. “For us nothing. I am leaving this as a tip for Dorothy. Usually I give her one hundred dollars but since there are two of us I gave her an extra.” “That is very kind and generous of you, but are you sure you can afford it?” “Lets just say that I am far from hurting for money. You don’t ever have to worry about it, okay?” “That might take me a while to get used to but okay.” “Let’s get going to school. It feels weird saying that.” “I bet it does, old man.” I tease him. “You know I ought to bend you over my knee for that mouth of yours, little miss.” He swats my butt surprising me. “mmm..” Did I just about moan from that? I hold my hand over my mouth to prevent any possibility of embarrassing myself further. What is wrong with me? Rushing to the car, I try to open the door, but Jayce beats me to it and holds it closed. I turn and look at him, not having a clue what’s about to happen. He grabs my chin with a smug look on his face. “I have a feeling that you and I will have some real fun together.” Before I can ask what he means, he starts devouring my mouth. His kiss is hungry and fast. My heart speeds up as I try to keep pace with him. I can feel wetness along with the need between my legs. He pulls my hair back, and I moan into his mouth. I can feel the wetness increasing now, along with my desire for him to touch me. Sadly, he pulls away, and we both start gasping for air. “The smell of your arousal is addicting. It is becoming harder and harder not to take you.” “I don’t know why it keeps happening. I have never had this happen before I met you.” “Have what happened?” I look around to make sure no one can overhear us. “You know the wetness.” I whisper so low I am praying I won’t have to repeat it. “Really never?” He says with a little smugness. “Never, I haven’t even had a crush before. No one has made me feel safe enough to do so.” “I am glad you feel that way because I feel so strongly about you. So much so that we need to get going before I lose control completely here. “ His words make me feel so desired. Could it really be that bad that I want him to? I feel myself wanting him more and more. It all still feels too good to be true. How could this God-like creature want a burden like me? “May I get the door for you beauty?” “Absolutely!” I say, stepping to the side. I can’t say I don’t love this. Once we are both in the car, the ride to school isn’t very far. I can’t help but catch Jayce’s glances at me. “Is there something on my face or something?” He pulls into the school and parks before answering me. “You look perfect, Beauty, way to perfect. “ “What do you mean to perfect?” “All of the boys here are going to be all over you.” “ I doubt that, Jayce.” “ Gwen, they were looking your way while you had on those modest clothes. There is no way that they won’t be staring at you now.” There is no way that’s true, but I am not about to argue. “What do you want me to do about it?” “Be my girlfriend.” “For real, or is this like some pretend thing?” “For real, of course. I am glad that we are dating now, but I want to be more. I can’t mark you, but I would like our relationship to be clear.” “So other boys can’t ask me out?” “Well yeah, that would be one benefit, but honestly, even if you want to keep it private, I want to be your boyfriend. So what do you say? Will you be my girlfriend?” Well, it would also be nice if I could keep some of those bimbos away from him too. It could backfire at the same time. I would probably be putting a target on my head. We also could have to break up if we aren’t mates. If I set all of that aside, I know in my heart that I want a relationship with him. Even if I only get a day out of it, I would be happy. “I will if you promise that we will have a mutual breakup if we aren’t mates.” “ I promise since I know we are.” “I feel like we are too. It just seems too good to be true.” The school bell is going off. “We should get going.” “Wait one second.” Jayce runs out and around the car and opens my door for me. As I step out, everyone seems to be looking at us. I try to ignore them, but I am feeling a bit self conscious. I can’t help but hear their whispers even though I can’t understand what they are saying. “Can you grab my books out of my locker while I use the restroom?” I ask Jayce. “Sure thing, beautiful. Don’t worry, I already know your combination by heart.” “Yeah, you will have to share how you know that some time.” Walking into the woman’s room, I do my business and then start to wash my hands when a couple of the cheerleaders walk in. “Sarah, did you see that hunk of a man by the door?” She yells to her friend on her way into the stall. Her friend stops to use the mirror. “How could I not he is so tall. I would love to climb that tree.” I start drying my hands so I can go. I don’t think I can listen to this any longer. “Maggie, give me two days, and he will be my summer fling for sure.” I scoff and stomp out of the bathroom. I can’t deal with this, s*it. “Hey Beauty, I grabbed your stuff for you.” I take a breath and shake off the bathroom thing. There is no sense in being aggravated any longer. He is my boyfriend, not theirs. My boyfriend, I love how that sounds. “Thank you, let’s just get to the home room.” We walk into the classroom, and at first, it feels like normal. Jayce sets my books down on a desk in the front. I take a seat, and Jayce sits behind me. I turn and look at him. “Jayce you can sit next to me if you want. The desk is still open.” “No, I don’t want some pervert sitting behind you sniffing your hair.” “Oh, I didn’t think of that, it’s never happened before. Wait, are you going to smell my hair?” “You know I can smell your delicious scent from across the room, sweetheart.” I turn my head to hide my blushing cheeks. He gently moves my hair to the side, brushing the back of my neck slightly with his fingers. A shiver runs down my spine. “What’s this?” “What’s what?” “Looks like a tattoo of a flower.” “It’s just a birthmark. My parents actually made my middle name rose because of it.” “ So I get to know your middle name now.” He says, leaning in by my ear. I turn around and look back at him. Sh*t! I let that slip right out. I should have at least waited until we marked each other. “Don’t tell anyone.” “I won’t but I don’t think that’s a normal birthmark.” “What do you mean? Is it bad? I promise I have had it since birth. It has gotten bigger, but that’s because I got bigger.” “I just mean some things about you are not adding up. We should talk about it when we get home. There’s nothing to worry about, I promise.” “Alright.” I turn back around and fidget with my book, waiting for the morning announcements to finish. Every once in a while, I feel someone staring, and I find a boy in the class looking. A few different ones, actually. After the bell rings, every class seems to go the same way. Jayce jumps up so he can carry my stuff for me. Even though I insist that I can do it. We get to our seats, and he sits behind me. We talk a little about ourselves. I told him about some books I like and how I would love to paint. He told me about some of his tattoos and how he wants me to draw him up one someday. I don’t know if I could handle the pressure to do that for him. We also talked about our favorite foods, and I found out that we both love sweets and fruits. We both also love swimming and hiking. It’s not very unlike a werewolf to love the outdoors, but it’s still really cool that it’s something we can do together. He even said that the pack has an indoor pool, and they are nearly done with the outdoor one. I can’t wait to go exploring around there. Maybe he can teach me about some of those flowers I have seen. I never felt this excited, probably ever. The bell rings for lunch, and I Almost can’t believe it. Time goes so much faster now that I have someone to talk to. “Gw.. Olive, how about I buy you some lunch and we can sit in the cafeteria together.” I haven’t sat in there all of this year. It sucked so bad when I had to. Maybe it would be different now that I can sit next to Jayce. I think I am out of my snack bars, too, so I don’t even have anything to eat anyway. “I guess if you sit next to me, it will be okay.” “ I will get our food, and we can sit together. It will be nice. I love being able to hang out and talk with you.”
