Chapter 11: The One with The Reunion All rights reserved San 2045 2019 "Erm... this smells nice" She awkwardly said breaking the silence that was lingering around. The fresh smell of coffee was something she always liked. Well at least when there were not two pairs of glaring eyes directed towards her. "Yeah I agree" Randhir said agreeing with her busy avoiding the pair of eyes at him. Sanyukta wanted to hit him, well she definitely would if their friends were not sitting in front of them. "Are you both together?" "No" They both yelled in unison looking absolutely shocked by the question. Sanyukta looked at Kaustuki who had a mischevious smile on her face. "What made you even think about it Chris?" Sanyukta asked boldly to her friend who was busy mixing the sugar in his coffee. He looked up at her and grinned. "There is so much s****l tension when you both are around though" His reply made her blush, was they both so obvious to read? She did not dare look up at Radhir, just nodded with a nervous smile. After Kaustuki saw her in the middle of shoe store she hugged her, literally it felt that she squeezed the lungs inside her. Then Chris hugged her and he spotted Randhir in the male section and went towards him. She was happy for them both, yes they both were married and had a year old daughter, Katerine. Though she was sad that she was unable to attend their wedding two years ago but she was not going to ponder over that now. Chris and Kaustuki were for a mini honeymoon here, their daughter was staying back at her grandparents place in Delhi. After graduating from NYU she shifted back to Delhi to handle he fathers business and Chris soon followed her proposing her for a marriage. Sanyukta couldnt keep the smile off her hearing their story on the way to the cafe. Chris was trying to look uninterested and bored but she saw him sneaking glances at them. They both didn't change much except for their personalities, they bickered with each other but also loved each other. "Are you in touch with Parth then?" Kaustuki asked her while sipping her coffee. She was very escastic upon finding her friend and also angry at her for disappearing suddenly but she knew that she might have some reason and she wanted to ask her but she knew with Randhir being there she wouldnt tell anything. Sanyukta shook her head, her heart aching at the mention of his name, she failed to keep their years of friendship alive only with the fear that he might judge her like her parents, she couldn't handle the blow. She thought about calling him many times, even dialed his number but never had the guts to speak with him. "You should talk to him San. He was going crazy searching for you, he called us everyone , asking for you. He also talked to your parents but he didn't tell us about that. You should go meet him, he's getting married next month in Mumbai." As Kaustuki's words hit her she felt sad but also happy that he's getting married. She just hoped he would talk to her, he was stubborn in a way. She was glad that he was getting married in Mumbai in that way she could atleast see him. He did post some photos of him on social media but other than that he posted nothing from a month. She still tears away reading his messages send to her years before when she left. His worry, his concern everything was poured into that messages, she didnt reply him though. "He's getting married? Who's the bride?" She asked shocked. "He's getting married to my sister" She snapped her head towards Randhir at his flat tone. Though he tried to fight the smile his eyes clearly failed. She wanted to squeal, dance in joy hearing the news. "Wow that's great. I should call him then. I can't believe he's getting married." Sanyukta whispered to herself. "Anyways how many days are you both staying?" Chris asked looking at us both. "We're going back tomorrow evening" Randhir answered while picking the tissue. Sanyukta agreed to that, she had already told Riona that she'll be back by tomorrow morning but the change of plans made a total mess. "Oh. Well we could have explored some clubs but we have our flight tomorrow morning" Chris turned towards Kaustuki and sighed. "Dont worry honey we'll be going to Mumbai very soon for our meeting then we'll meet them" Kaustuki said and kissed him on his lips. Sanyukta smiled looking at them. Before they were ready to kill each other and now they were crazy about each other. "Well we could have breakfast tomorrow before you leave for Delhi. What time is your flight by the way?" Sanyukta said and looked at Randhir who was talking to Chris. The conversation was turned into whispers and hushes once she looked at them. "Don't mind them. They both are always like that. Our flight leaves at 11 in morning we could catch up on breakfast." "Hmm" Chris hummed. "Excuse us guys. Sanyukta and I'll be back in a minute" Kaustuki stood up looking at Sanyukta and walked along with her towards the washroom. They both were alone as the cafe was also not so crowded. "Sanyukta now tell me why did you disappear all of a sudden?" Kaustuki asked once they both were inside the washroom. Sanyukta sighed and turned towards the mirror, she was glad that she didnt apply any make up. She kind of expected that question from Kaustuki. She took a deep breath and started to tell her everything. She also told about her feelings towards Randhir in the past and also their recent kiss. She wanted to share it with somebody. "...and thats what happened with us" Sanyukta exhaled, completing her story. It actually felt nice to blurt out everything to her first genuine friend. Kaustuki stared at her with mouth open and then closed, she didn't expect that was so much to the story, though she had a slight doubt on them. their sneaky glances said it sometimes. "That's...really complicated, huh?" "Please Kaustuki don't tell Chris though. I know this is big thing but I don't want Chris to take sides. You understand what I mean right?" "Of course. Don't worry I will not tell anyone." Sanyukta finally gave her a smile. "Let's go outside. They must be worried sick." Sanyukta nodded, though she wanted to correct that Randhir would not be. *** "I didn't knew that you were in touch of our friends" Sanyukta wanted to slap at the way her statement sounded, she didn't wanted to be the one interfering in his life. Randhir chose not to answer to her. He was in contact with them, in fact he was best amn of Chris for the wedding and he was also present in Vidhushi's engagement. He was still friends with them. "I am sorry I didn't mean to sound like that" Sanyukta apologized and glanced back at the door waiting for Mr Willy, actually William Stroker to show up. The Martin's corner was a decent place to eat lunch or for a take away. It was a cozy lunch house and also famous around here, as many travellers appeared to be having lunch here. "Oh I like the way you sound wifey" Randhir teased tucking his phone back in the jeans pocket. He enjoyed teasing her, just like the old times. She looked angry at him. "You need to stop pretending we are husband wife outside the hotel" Sanyukta glared at him. She did not bit found the thought worth teasing, there was times where she actually wanted to be his wife but she kept convincing herself that it wont be worth to live with him or he would not love her but she was getting a demo making her thoughts and thinkings wrong and putting them to shame. Though he was only pretending the flutter he caused when he only called by endearments was enough to rise her hopes. "Sorry...You're Miss Aggarwal right?" Sanyukta turned towards the source of voice and looked at the person standing behind her. He was in mid thirties she guessed. She nodded her head and soon he sat down at the empty chair beside her. "I am William Stroker. Sorry I am late." "No problem Mr Stroker. I hope you're hungry cause we were waiting for you to join us for lunch" Sanyukta sighed as she not chuckled or stammered while saying his name. Randhir, on the other shook his hands with him and went back looking into the menu. "So where is this place?" Randhir inquired keeping the menu aside. He already though of the order, he knew it was a long way and too much of walking. "Oh it's just an hour drive from here. It is close to the beach and I think it will be suitable for your building. The owner was not willing to sell but once he came to know it was Mr Oliver's request he agreed. He wanted to meet you both tomorrow on lunch." Sanyukta shared a look with Randhir. It was fair enough he agreed to have lunch as they were engaged for breakfast with Kaustuki. Kaustuki agreed with them for a breakfast but it was her treat to Sanyukta so she called them both to their beach house early morning. They owned a beach house somewhere a hour away from the cafe they were sitting. She gave them the location and also she fed her phone number in Sanyukta's cell phone. *** Sanyukta sighed sitting on the bed, her feet ached. It was actually a vast land and the beach was so damn near the place because of which the sand was sticking to her feet and in the folds of jeans. Complaints aside, the place was like the miracle to her. The place was perfect and even Randhir agreed to her on this. They could provide a sea view for the customers in the hotel, the place was going to earn a lot. She slightly turned her head towards the washroom door, Randhir was showering. The temptations to join him was huge but she stayed rooted at the place. It was nearly eight in the evening and she had not even called Riona after that morning imo session. Sanyukta stood up and took her night clothes, which were pink silky short shorts and a white T shirt which was plain except for the pink hear shape near the left breast. She didn't know what possessed her to purchase this, though it was very economical and very soft and also very comfortable. Inhaling deeply she set the clothes on the bed and picked the phone. She didnt want Oliver to see Randhir and her hanging out in the same room. She dialed Oliver and sat on her side of the bed. She sighed as soon as he picked the phone. "Hello? Uncle" "Hey Sanyukta. How are you doing honey?" "I'm fine. Did you had your dinner?" "I and Riona had a early dinner and she is currently sleeping" Sanyukta frowned about hearing that. She wanted to talk to Riona but she was already asleep. She must have enjoyed a lot that must have made her tired, she tuned in early whenever they visit their beach house. "I just wanted to tell her I'll be back by evening. I finalized the place Uncle and we are having lunch with the owner tomorrow." "Thats great. Anyways I'll talk to you later honey, Mishra just dropped by." "Okay. Goodnight" Sanyukta smiled and placed the phone back on nightstand. Mishra was Oliver's friend and also their neighbour. They both take their evening walks together. Just then she heard the rattliung sound of the door knob. She turned around looking at the door. She gulped looking at him clad only in white towel revealing his upper body bare, glistening with water. Her sanity and temptation were at stake. ***
