With more people visiting the store, it became a little easier to promote their business of finding once lost things. A lot of people had questions about how they were doing it, but a few of them asked, and the girls would just shrug it off as being lucky and change the subject.
Magenta’s wound healed over time, but to keep them going, her sisters had to start going through the portal for the small things. Their mom would disappear into the house each time they started up the machine, unable to watch them go through and then sit outside the moment they left, watching the portal like a hawk until they returned.
Time on the other side moved faster than it did on this side, giving them a better chance of finding whatever it was that they were looking for.
