Book Two Tackling The Tight End: Chapter 7

I was on my way to class, when I spotted Olivia heading towards the building I was going into.

“Hey Olivia, wait up!” I called out to her.

Olivia stopped and waited for me to catch up with her.

“Hey Jill” Olivia said to me when I caught up to her.

“Piper is at our house. She kinda crashed last night.” I told Olivia.

I didn’t want to give her all the details of what me and Shawna had to do to get Piper out of the situation last night.

“I knew she wasn’t home when I got back from the football house party. I didn’t realize she stayed out all night.” Olivia sighed.

I knew Olivia crashed the party last night, but I decided to play dumb. I know Olivia had her reasons of why she was at that party.

“You went to the football house party?” I asked her.

“Yeah, Anthony and I decided to crash it. We were only there for about an hour. Just long enough for me to tell the jackass Liam off.” Olivia said.

I saw Olivia with Liam, but didn’t know what exactly happened. I know she didn’t spend the night with Liam either, especially if she did tell him off.

Liam is like the rest of that football house, he only cares to have a woman in his bed and that is it. Olivia is not that type of girl.

“Oh,I’m sure you telling him off went over well.” I laughed.

“Actually I think I blindsided him. Let’s say I left him speechless.”Olivia told me.

Huh? Ok this should be interesting. This might explain why it looked like Liam ran out after her last night. He isn’t used to a woman telling him off.

“What did you do?” I asked her.

“He tried to get me to go to bed with him, only he didn’t know my name, didn’t even try to guess it. So I challenged him. He needs to get to know me. Really get to know me.” Olivia said.

Whoa, a challenge? I hope Olivia realizes what she may have gotten herself into. Liam does not back down from a challenge. Everyone knows this, that part of the reason he has The Bad Ass as his nickname.

“And if he gets to really know you, I’m afraid to ask, but what does he get?” I said.

“I may have said that he could share my bed.” I told her.

Whoa! Olivia promised what? Is she serious?

“What!” I gasped.

“All I said was share a bed. I didn’t say I would have s*x with him. I just said I would share a bed.” Olivia states.

Oh my god! I just realized what Olivia said, she said she would share a bed. She never said she have actual s*x with Liam. Olivia, damn girl you are a genius with these players! Use their actual words against them!

I laughed and said, “Oh damn! You are so smart! First rule of a contract: make sure you read the wording right!”

“Yep, maybe if he actually takes the time to get to know a girl, he will actually realize she is more than just a play thing.” Olivia shrugs.

Maybe I should do this type of challenge with Eric. Only thing is, we actually do know each other. I got to think about this.

If only Eric would realize it’s a person you like being with might be worth being with on a more serious level. It’s not always just because you like a certain type of person. I get he is attracted to Latinas, but I know he really does like hanging out with me, sometimes I think he does like me more than just being his friend.

“Good luck with that! We better get to class. Catch you around campus, hopefully Piper gets back to your house ok,” I told Olivia.

“Thanks Jill, hopefully one day Piper won’t be such a party girl.”

None of us felt like doing anything I. Our kitchen for dinner. So Mikey said needed to go out to the hick restaurant we have called Po Folks for dinner.

That place is the closest we have to home cooked meals, plus the waitresses there look all cute in the hillbilly chick uniforms they have to wear.

We sat at a table that wasn’t quite clean yet and noticed immediately it is our neighbor who will be our waitress. Immediately Mikey asks her about the bathroom.

It’s a standing joke to do this because they call the bathrooms the shiddors. Yeah it is 5th grade humor and well, it doesn’t take much to entertain Mickey.

I started to notice Liam is trying to flirt with Olivia, our neighbor. She is just blowing him off. I got to give it to the girl, she is resisting The bad ass. Other females just melt and give in to my boy’s charms. Not this chick.

For some reason, Liam will not give up on this girl. It makes no sense, clearly she isn’t interested but Liam isn’t getting the message here.

I hear him ask her when her shift is done and about giving her a ride home. Where the heck is she going to sit? There are 4 of us and she won’t sit in the bed of the truck. What the hell is up with Liam and this girl?

“It is ok, I have Anthony’s car. He lets me use it when I have a late shift, but thank you.” Olivia says and goes over to another table.

I can’t keep quiet, the way Liam is acting, I swear he is into Olivia. Why else would he keep trying to pursue the girl when she was clearly brushing him off.

“Hey L, are you interested in Olivia or something?” I ask him.

“Me? You know me, nope she challenged me, and just trying to do this challenge.” Liam told me.

What the hell is he talking about? Olivia challenged Liam? As If he read my mind, Mikey spoke up explaining. “She told him she would sleep with him if he really got to know her.”

Oh, that sounds dangerous. If Liam is not careful, he may find himself involved with Olivia. Damn, the girl is using a psychological approach. She is smart.

“For real? Man, that sounds like a dangerous challenge to me,” I told Liam.

“Why do you say that?” Liam says.

Damn, Liam isn’t realizing how this could be dangerous. There is a reason, we don’t get to know these girls. I can’t believe o hot to explain this to him.

“Once you get to know her, you might end up falling for her.” I tell him.

“That won’t happen. I don’t fall for girls. I gotta stay focused, if you fall for a girl or get into a relationship with one. You lose focus.” Liam says.

Good luck Liam, I think you may lose this challenge. Never get into a challenge with a woman, you will lose. Something I learned a long time ago.
