Book Two Tackling The Tight End: Chapter 3

954 Words
Eric “Cannonball!” Yelled Mickey as he ran and jumped into the pool over at the Kappa house. “Dumbass! If you get hurt, I’m not explaining why to coach!” Big John yelled at him. “Ever notice how Mickey is like the kid brother of our group?” I asked Big John as I sat down on one of the chairs next to him. Big John chuckled and then said “If he is the kid brother, you know that makes you his mom and Liam his dad, since you two are the captains.” “Do I look like a mom to you? Last time I checked, I definitely did not have a vagina.” I told him. “I think you did have a v****a last night, I saw that girl leaving your room this morning.” Big John laughed. I shrugged my shoulders and said “I needed to start senior year off with a bang.” “Damn straight!” Big John laughed and tapped his beer bottle to mine. “You guys are not getting into the pool?” Tiffany, one of the sorority girls that lived in the house asked us. “In due time sweetheart.” Big John said to her, and then winked his eye. “Suit yourself.” She said pulling up this sundress to reveal her bikini she had on. Big John looked over at me, raised his eyebrow, looked back at me, then got up and got into the pool to be with Tiffany. I shook my head, yep, The football team is definitely back and we are on the prowl. “Are you not going to get into the pool?” I heard a voice ask me. I turned and saw Jill standing there in shorts and a tank top. “Maybe in a bit, not feeling like it right now.” I told her. “Mind if I sit in that chair next to you?” Jill asked me. “I don’t care. How come your not in the pool?” I asked her. Jill shrugged her shoulders and said, “Not really feeling good, to be honest.” “Are you catching something?” I asked her. “No, just one of those days, I guess you can say. You know when you just feel blah.” Jill said, sitting down. “Oh, I get it. Yeah I guess I get like that too.” I told her. Suddenly water splashed on me and Jill. I looked up and saw a grinning Mikey. “Asshole.” I yelled at him. “You two looked like you needed to cool off a little, so I helped you out. You're welcome.” Mikey laughed while swimming away from the pool. “Mikey never changes, does he?” Jill said, taking off her tank top to reveal her bikini top she was wearing. “That he is an asshole? No” I said as I took off my t-shirt I had on. I looked at Jill as she was folding her tank top on her lap. I never realized, she fills out a bikini top nicely. No wonder she is a sorority girl. “Well since that i***t got me wet, I guess I should get into the pool.” I told Jill. She nodded her head and said, “Have fun.” —— Jill I watched Eric walk over and get into the pool. I think he bulked up more over the summer. His body looked like it was more defined then the last time I saw him. I put my sunglasses on so Eric would see that I was checking him out as he was in the pool. “Jilly bean, close your mouth.” Shawna whispered to me. “I didn’t see you standing there.” I said to her. Shawna sat down in the chair where Eric was sitting and looked at the guys in the pool. She turned her head back to me and said, “Why don’t you just tell him you like him. You two have known each other since, what? Preschool?” Shawna said. “Kindergarten actually. He used to steal my blue crayons.” I laughed. “Oh really. Well maybe he did that because he liked you too.” Shawna said. “Mmm, nope, we are just friends, you know that. Besides, I’m not his type, he isn’t attracted to me.” I told Shawna. “Honey, everyone has a type they find attractive, doesn’t stop us from liking someone that isn’t our type. Opposites do attract.” Shawna said. “Well, I also don’t want to mess up our friendship either. I’m not willing to take a chance on that.” I told her. “Hmmm, well, I will say one thing, maybe it is a good thing Eric is blind to the obvious chemistry you two have.” Shawna said. “What do you mean?” I asked her. “Let’s just say, I think you two would be good for each other. But both of you need to get your heads out your asses to realize what is obvious. You are scared to try and he is blind to realize how good you are to him.” I looked at the pool and saw the guys were playing keep away with Tiffany. I didn’t say anything. “You going to get in the pool?” Shawna asked me. “Can’t, got some bad cramps.” I said to her. “”Me too! I guess we are in sync!” Shawna laughed. “Ice cream?” I laughed. “Yep, let’s go binge.” Shawna said.
