Trenton POV

I pull away to catch my breath. That kiss was better than the f**king I’ve done with most women. “I told you everything would be better with our mate.” Shut the hell up Ryker. I’m sorry about that Ms. Thomas I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. “It’s quite alright we both just got carried away it won’t happen again, I’m sure.” I’m sure your right. You have a good evening. I wait till she is inside before I head down to my car. What the hell was I thinking kissing her. “That she is our mate you a**hole.” Fine she is our mate are you happy. “Yes, I am, now what are you going to do to get her to fall in love with us.” It won’t be that hard you have seen me in action with the females haven’t you. “She is not like every other female you have been with.” She felt pretty into that kiss. “Don’t get cocky she isn’t like other girls.” We will see when I turn on the charm.

I head back to the pack and this time I’m going to let Kenneth know I found my mate. I can’t tell my parents, yet they will expect me to bring her here and tell her everything. When I arrive at the territory line I shift and run until I reach the pack house. I don’t even stop this time when I see Jill standing at the door. I run right past her into the kitchen grabbing some food on my way to my floor. I link Kenneth that I have arrived and go jump in the shower. After I come out, he is sitting on my couch. “So why did you rush back to the pack today I didn’t expect you until tomorrow.” I wanted to discuss something with you, but you need not freak out like a teenage girl. “I’m offended I’m a grown man I don’t act like a girl ever.” Do you forget that I grew up with you? “Just get to the news already.” I found my mate. He jumps up and down like he found his again. Didn’t I just say not to act like a teenage girl. “Shut up where is she.” That’s the thing it's going to be a little complicated she is a human. “Wow a human you’re going to have to work for it.” That’s all you have to say you're not going to talk me out of a weak mate. “Are you nuts the Moon Goddess would never give you a weak mate and this woman was made for you.” “I told you so looks like Kenneth is smarter than you” Ryker says. You’re really starting to get on my nerves Ryker.

Arya POV

I can’t believe he kissed me, and I can’t believe how much I liked it. Collin is the only man I’ve ever been with, and we never had a kiss like that. I lock the door to my apartment and head into my bedroom. I grab my pajamas and head to the shower. Once I’m standing under the spray all I can think about is that kiss. I can feel my core drip as I think about being touched by my boss. What the hell is wrong with me? I don’t care right now I need the release. I put my fingers in my folds while I imagine it's his fingers inside me. I increase the speed until I am cresting and falling over the edge screaming his name. That was amazing and it was only the thought of him. I can’t imagine what the real thing would be like. I will never know so the fantasy will have to do. I get ready for a night on the couch with take out. I order Chinese and wait for the delivery. I call Melissa while I wait to tell her about what happened. “I told you he was going to be a good f**k.” I’m not f**king him it was just a kiss that won’t happen again. “You keep telling yourself that.” “So, you’re telling me if he offers you won’t take him up on his offer.” That wouldn’t be good for my career now, would it? “F**k your career and him.” I have to pay my bills Melissa. “You are no fun.” I laugh when I hear a knock on the door. I have to go my food is here. “Call me tomorrow after you see him again.” Go get your own life instead of trying to live through me. “Not nice good night b**ch.”

I go to the door and open it without checking the peep hole. Big mistake on my part. Collin is standing there looking pissed. Collin go away I’m done with everything I had to say to you. “You owe me five minutes after the four years I wasted on you.” F**k you I don’t owe you anything. “You can either sit and listen or I can make you.” Don’t threaten me, Collin. “Sit down” he pushes me to the couch. Have you lost your mind? “No but you’re going to listen to me.” “I made a mistake and I’m sorry for cheating on you.” “I need you to forgive me and we can move forward with our plans.” What plans for you to sit you're a** on my couch while I continue to kill myself to pay our bills. Then you can f**k women behind my back. No thanks I’m good without you. He slaps me across the face knocking me off the couch. I grab my cheek and I know my eye is going to bruise. “I’m sorry I lost my temper I didn’t mean to hit you, Arya.” You better leave my apartment right now before I call the police and have you arrested. “I’m going to leave but I will be back because we are not over.” Fine just leave I need to ice my cheek. He raises his hand and caresses my cheek, but I don’t say anything. I never expected him to hit me.

Trenton POV

I head to the office directly from the pack this morning, so I had to leave earlier than normal. When I arrive, I head into my office with my coffee. I am seated at my desk when I see Arya take a seat at her desk. Good the kiss didn’t freak her out too much. I get up from my desk and head out to remind her about our meeting today. She has a pair of sunglasses on. What the hell is that about? I think you can take off the shades Ms. Thomas there’s no sun in here. “I am having some light sensitivity so I would like to keep them on.” I can sense the spike in her heart rate she is lying to me. Ms. Thomas remove your sunglasses. I can see she doesn’t want to but when she does, I am ready to shift. Her eye is black and blue. Who hit you? “It’s ok Mr. Black it was an accident and I’m fine.” That is not what I asked, and I expect an answer. “Collin came back after you left and didn’t like what I had to say.” Did you call the police? “No, he left without me having to.” He hit you that should have been the first thing you did. “I appreciate your concern Mr. Black but really its finished and I would rather just get to work.” I turn and head to my office.

“You better find that bastard and kill him.” He is a human Ryker you know the rules about killing humans. “He hit our Luna.” I’m aware and I’m trying not to leave here to find him, so I need you to calm down. I will make sure he never touches her again. “How are you going to do that?” I am taking her to the pack tonight and explaining what we are to each other. “It’s about time.” I smile and sit behind my desk to get through this day. At ten we head into the conference room and with the group of ten men that represent the Malecom Company. If we land this deal, it will make my company millions of dollars. Arya is seated off to the side. Just as I asked, she placed folders at every seat and I’m ready to start our presentation. As I speak, I notice the man that was introduced as Robert the son of the owner keeps eye f**king Arya. We finish the presentation and I thank them all for coming. I watch as that a**hat gets right up going toward her. Arya, I need to speak with you now in my office. She smiles and excuses herself. “Trying to keep that one to yourself Trenton.” I turn on Robert Mr. Malecom I would thank you to keep professional behavior when you are in my building. Have a good day gentleman.

Arya POV

The meeting was very interesting. I was glad when Mr. Black interrupted that creep from hitting on me. He was not even being a little subtle throughout the meeting. He kept smiling and winking at me. When he headed over, I was scared I would ruin the deal if he asked me out and I said no. I head into Mr. Black’s office and wait for him. When he walks in, I can see he looks pissed I hope it's not at me. Is everything alright Mr. Black? “Not really Arya but it is nothing you did.” What did you need to see me about? “I want to talk about the kiss we shared yesterday.” I start to fidget in my seat. It’s not necessary it was a mistake, and I would never hold it against you. He laughs “I’m not worried about you holding it against me.” Then what did you want to talk about it for? “I would like you to take a trip with me tonight and everything will be easier to explain.” A trip where exactly and what will be clear exactly? “I’m different than most men but it's easier to show you than explain it.” I am not interested in pursuing a relationship with my boss Mr. Black, so I am flattered but I am going to have to decline.

He looks at me and I wait for him to dismiss me so I can return to my desk. “Do you want to keep this job, Arya?” Now I’m pissed, are you saying I have to date you to keep this job. I can hear the venom in my own voice. “Arya, I don’t need to force any woman to date me I simply want you to make this trip.” That pisses me off him talking about dating other woman, what the hell is wrong with me. So, if I want to keep my job, I have to go with you. “Yes, and once you know everything, I will never bring any of this up again.” I’m not sleeping with you. He starts to laugh, and I stand to leave his office. “I’m sorry I just wasn’t expecting that from your mouth.” “I don’t expect you to sleep with me Arya.” Fine Mr. Black I will go because you’re making me. “Call me by my name Arya, Trent.” I don’t think so I say before I return to my desk.
