Chapter 5 (The devil is married)

"Sofia, are you okay?" Geneva asked waving her hand to see if I'm fine.

"I was just thinking about something. What were you saying?" I smiled at her and she started talking again. I know I'm not a good friend by not giving her attention because right now Benjamin is the only thing on my mind. He couldn't have married just after we got divorced. He loves me, he said he would always love me so there's no way he could've fallen in love so quickly and get married.

"So tell me what should I do?" She asked and I looked at her confused.

Sofia, what must Geneva do? I asked myself biting my lower lip.

"I think you should do what you think. Life is too short Geneva, don't listen to what people say. Just go for it." She quickly agreed with what I thought and I sighed relived. I can't believe I pulled it off.

"If it's not my wife." Nicholas said walking to us. "Some guys wants to meet my new wife so let's go by the way Genoa look after my daughter or else you will be jobless and dead." Geneva cussed out and I giggled walking with Nicholas.

"Where's that stupid friend of mine?" Nicholas asked as he looked around. "He was nagging me to introduce him to you and now his gone."

"I'm sure he will be back soon." I assured him and he started rubbing his eye. "Is everything okay Nick?"

"Yeah. Something just went in my eye." He replied.

"Let me see, you cry baby." I started to blow in his eye.

"You such a lovely couple." Someone commented and I quickly stopped blowing in Nicholas eye. 

"Thank you but we actually no---."

"Thank you Mrs Sira." Nicholas said interrupting me. "Now love why don't you enjoy yourself until I find that stupid i***t that wanted to meet you." I quickly left Nicholas and went straight to where Geneva was holding Emily but she was gone.

I quickly ran to the bathroom to see if she was there but I couldn't find her. I was in a hurry looking for my daughter when I bumped into an asshole.

"Watch where you going?" He shouted and I recognized his voice, before I could turn around he caught my hand. "What are you doing here?" Benjamin asked.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned.

"I was invited and you?" Before I could open my mouth he looked at my hand angry. "If this is your ring." He showed me his necklace with my ring in it. "Then what the f**k are you wearing?" Stupid Nicholas had to make me wear this stupid ring.

"Benjamin, this is a party so stop ruining it for me." I tried changing the subject but he just kept looking at the ring angry. "Benjamin." I said his name trying to make him stop looking at the stupid ring,

"Since when are you married?" He asked and I took a few steps backwards hitting the wall. "Sofia, when did you get married? Who are you married to?"

"You don't have a right to ask me that." I snapped and he quickly took both my hands angry.

"Why? Don't you miss me? I love you but you always seem to break my heart. Don't I mean anything to you?" Tears started to fall from his eyes but I shut my eyes closed because I couldn't see him hurt.

"Benjamin, you hurting me." I mumbled, scared of him.

"What about me?" He asked and I opened my eyes. "I missed you so much, I was waiting for you to come back to me but no, you got married to a guy you didn't even know for a month or wait, where you cheating on me? Did you even love me? Sofia what happened to I'll always love you no matter what happens?"

"Benjamin please you hurting me." I tried freeing myself from his hands but he was too strong. "Benjamin please." I repeated and he quickly let me go.

"Don't you love me?" He asked wiping his tears. "Did you ever love me?"

"This party is for married couples so what are you doing here? Didn't you get married or did you just come here because you stalking me?" I was praying he would say something else but his words broke my heart.

"I'm married and I'm glad I got married." My eyes widen up in shock. "I'm glad I didn't wait for a girl like you." Tears started to stream down my face as I pressed my lips together.

"I thought---I'm very--very happy for you Benjamin." I stuttered. "And I have moved on Benjamin, I love my husband so much so don't think I still love someone like you." I wiped away my tears and smiled.

"You love him so much?" He asked and I nod my head smiling. "Who is he--?

"There you are." Nicholas said interrupting us and I started praying he wouldn't introduce me to Benjamin. "Benjamin Mrs Sira is looking for you." Nicholas told him and Benjamin left angry.

"Did he touch you?" Nicolas asked and I shook my head. "I know Benjamin can be rude to girls sometimes but his a nice guy so please forgive him if he did something to you. It's not his fault that he fell in love with a b***h that left him and plus I must still introduce you to him. If he knows you my girl he will respect you."

"Can't I meet him some other time I'm kinda hungry and I'm not in a good mood to meet any of your friends today." I mumbled and he nod his head. "By the way Nicholas do me a favor and don't tell anyone I'm pregnant, I don't want people treating me like some sick person."

"I promise I won't tell anyone love so just make sure you eat and take care of yourself." He quickly gave me a kiss on the forehead and left.

Where the hell did Geneva take my daughter?

I went to check the bathroom again and saw Geneva standing in front of the mirror with Emily.

"I'm so happy I found you." I sighed relived and took Emily from Geneva.

"I just changed her nappy and now I'm going to go talk to my crush, now how do I look?" Geneva asked posing for me.

"You look beautiful but don't you think---." I paused because I might still love Benjamin but he did say he was married so why would I care about Geneva liking him. "Make sure no one gets in your way." I added and she nod her head and left.

I was curious so I followed her and she found Benjamin in the bar drinking. I couldn't hear what they were saying because I didn't want him to see Emily here tonight or else his going to start talking about how irresponsible I am.

I watched them and I could see he was actually not even so rude like he was with me the first time we met. I was so busy watching them that I forgot to make sure he couldn't see me. Benjamin's eyes might mine but he didn't even look at me for another second, he turned back to Geneva and they were talking and laughing.

"You alone?" A man asked me and I looked around and when I was sure Nicholas wasn't near by, I nod my head.

"Well, my date just left me so do you mind if I get you a drink?" The man asked.

"Juice would be fine." I told him and Emily was already asleep. I just hope Elijah calls me because he promised to call me when he feels sleepy so we can go home.

I looked at where Geneva and Benjamin were having the best time and he was getting up and looking at me angry. For a second I thought Benjamin would beat the guy when he got up but he actually started fixing Geneva's shoes for her. What does she even have that I don't? He literally made my life hell when we met but he treats Geneva as a queen.

No no no, Sofia you should be happy for your new friend and stop acting like a b***h. I said to myself but it didn't help.

"Do me a favor and fix my shoes please." I asked the man as he came with my juice and as soon as he was done I turned to look at Benjamin but he was flirting back with Geneva.

"Ahem." Nicholas cleared his throat. "Do you want me to fire you?" He asked the man and he quickly shook his head and left in a hurry. I left too and Nicholas followed me. I'm so happy Benjamin didn't see it because Nicholas would've been in deep trouble, not that I care about what Benjamin thinks or do anymore.

"Elijah didn't call me, did he call you?" I asked Nicholas because I knew he would start asking me about that man.

"Nope. I'm sure my cousin is taking good care of him." He replied and I took my phone out. I called the phone Nicholas gave Elijah for emergency and he quickly answered it.

"Mommy I'm not tired." He answered and I rolled my eyes.

"Eli I'll be coming to fetch you after ten minutes so make sure you have everything that belongs to you. Don't take anything that doesn't belong to you." I replied because he always love taking Nicholas stuff without permission and make the excuse saying he borrowed it and will return it later.

"Okay mommy."

"I love you--." He hung up and I looked at Nicholas angry. "Did you have to tell him to hung up when he is so call busy."

"Well he asked me what do I do when I'm busy and someone I love calls so I told him I hung up when I don't want to be rude." He shrugged his shoulders.

"That's rude." I mumbled as we went out.

"You wouldn't understand." He replied and we got in the car. "How was the party for you?"

"I'm tired to talk about it." I uttered and he nod his head understanding. I wish Benjamin was as understanding as him. "Is Mr Carson taken?" I asked without thinking and he chuckled looking at me curious. "This other girl likes him." I quickly added.

"His taken." My heart broke as Nicholas uttered those words. "He is a very complicated man and his life is way complicated Sofia." Nicholas kept talking on and on about Benjamin but I wasn't listening. All I could think about was how he could've moved on so quick without me.

We stopped at Nick's cousin's house and picked Elijah up, but I wasn't even listening to my own son talking about his night with Nicholas's cousin.

Nicholas gave all of us a goodnight kiss even Emily who was sleeping as we entered the house. He left and I asked Elijah if he was hungry but he said he wasn't. I wasn't hungry too so I breastfeed Emily while she was sleeping and as soon as I was done, I went to bed after Elijah who was excited.

Me: Send me geneva's number please.

I send Nicholas a message.

Mr annoying : Who said I have her number? But I can get it for you, you know.

Me : fine, I'll give you a kiss I promise.

Mr annoying : Give me a minute and I'll send you her number. Can't wait for my kiss.

I blushed and it was so sad how I'm in love with Benjamin who doesn't even like me anymore.

As soon as Nicholas send me Geneva's number, I send her a message.

Me : Hey it's Sofia, I hope you don't mind me having your number.

After a couple of minute she send me a message.

Geneva : Oh hey girl by the way do you know who showed up at the party late?

I didn't even ask her about Benjamin she already have some gossip for me.

Me : Who?

Geneva : That stupid boss wife.

I read her message and started laughing. She doesn't even make sense, maybe she's drunk.

Me : I'm confused Geneva, whose wife?

For a second I thought she already met Benjamin's wife before me but why would she call him boss wife?

Geneva : Our boss. Nicholas wife, Lisa Russo!

I blinked and shook my head confused. She can't be telling the truth, Nicholas isn't married he would've told me.

Me : Nicholas Carter Russo?

I put my phone down praying she would tell me she's joking but as soon as I went in my message I saw her message,

Geneva : Yes. His wife is also rich but she's a b***h.

I left her on read and went to Nicholas messages.

Mr annoying : Hey sleeping beauty!

Mr annoying : Don't tell me you like chatting with Geneva that you forgot about me.

I left him on read and fell asleep crying. I'm not crying because I love him. I admit I still in love Benjamin and not Nicholas but Nick could've at least told me his married.
