"Ouch!"
A sharp pain stabbed through my ankle, making me grimace in pain. I chose to sit on the ground, lifting the edge of my dress to see that my right ankle had swollen and turned red.
"Darn it, who knew there was an unseen hole there?" I grumbled to no one in particular, looking up at the wall of the hot spring above the cliff.
Right. While I was hiding from whoever up there, my hand accidentally pushed a small recess in the wall, and my foot slipped off the ledge, leading me into a tunnel that took me outside the wall—where I didn't know there was a steep cliff behind it.
I was too late to prepare myself and ended up rolling around until my right ankle got seriously injured.
Now, my whole body is dirty, and my white dress has turned dark brown from mixing with mud.
