The essence of Night of the Beasts itself was fierce fighting, like monsters roaring in savagery, trying to find prey to devour and destroy into pieces. Many lives were lost in this fight to the death, but since it had become a traditional event, dying in battle was considered a proud feat. They would be seen as brave warriors who fell in the battlefield. Meanwhile, winners with wounds on their bodies wouldn't be healed. It was like a permanent tattoo showing they had won the tournament with life at stake
