Author POV - Flashback
"Enough, I wanted to go back to my room."
After Isabella left Alaric and walked away angrily, Alaric stood there until she disappeared behind the corridor's turn. He stood calmly with his hands folded behind his back, like a loyal butler obedient to his master.
The smile on Alaric's face, which he always maintained, slowly faded, returning to his usual expressionless face. He then began to walk, not following Isabella's path back to the guest mansion, but in a different direction.
He had found clues from the secret documents about the battle between Nightshade and the werewolves in the past, and wanted to find out what was strange about that battle.
