Selena POV:

I went rigid as I felt strong arms around me. What the hell was happening right now!? I tried to slow my breathing and relax so that I could sneak out of this... whatever it was. As I tried to peel the arms off me, his body went rigid and in a moment we both on opposite side of the bed, standing and staring at each other. "Selena." His voice was still coated thick with sleep, "Ethan." Mines was coated with unwarranted venom, "are you sure that's the way you wanted to act with the guy who saved you from bullies?" He asked and I scoffed, "like how you saved me from a whipping?" He narrowed his eyes at me. "What were you doing next to me?" I felt uncomfortable to ask but I had to as I pointed at where we once lay. "Just so you know this is my bed and you were trespassing by being in it." I sneered at him, "are you going to get me whipped again? Oh wait! Sorry! I mean are you going to save me again?" He growled and threw the pillow at me, it hit me hard in the rib and nearly knocked me off my feet. I took the pillow and through it back hard at him. He dodged which only made me more mad! "f**k off Ethan!" I snapped as I started walking towards him because he was standing near the stupid cart. "Wait!" He called as he grabbed my arm and I looked down at the way his slender hand gripped my bicep and how he had pressed himself a bit too close to me. "Selena," he said and I raised my hand to stop him, "what were you doing in bed with me?" He looked me dead in the eyes and shrugged. "I was tired and it is my bed." I narrowed my eyes at him, "why didn't you wake me?" He looked sheepish now and I was about to lay it on him for being a creepy pervert and to stay the f**k away from me when he said, "I didn't really want to wake you. I saw your room," my eyes went big at the thought him entering my room, I felt a bit embarrassed now and looked away from him, "and so?" I asked trying to hide my embarrassment. "I'm just saying, it's not very comfortable." His voice was soft and gentle and I rolled my eyes, "why did you go to my room?" I asked, he rolled his eyes and shook his head, "I just wanted to apologize to you Sherlock." I refused to let it go that easily, "and why is that?" His hand on my arm was so warm, it was dulling my senses in a weird way, "because, I know that I'll be Alpha soon and I do want this pack to change for the better." I narrowed my eyes at him and waited for him to continue, "I don't agree with the abuse, especially towards you and I'm hoping that can change once I become Alpha and maybe make up for being the shitty quiet person who did nothing." I stared at him for what seemed like an eternity but for once I was left f*****g speechless. There was no witty comeback or sarcastic comment. I was genuinely searching his face for some kind of inkling that this was all some kind of ruse and then bam! Alice and Isaac step out from the closet laughing and filming me. Ethan stared back at me the whole time and when our eyes kind of locked for a moment, I had that weird fluttery feeling again. What even was that? I cleared my throat and broke eye contact, "thanks, I guess," I said as I pulled my arm back from his and he opened his palm releasing me. "So what do you want now?" I asked and his eyes lit up as he turned around and grabbed two tinkies and tossed me one, it was strawberry filled sponge cakes. "To new friends." He toasted and I knocked tinkies with him awkwardly. He opened his tinky and popped it into his mouth, "why aren't you eating it? Do you not like that flavor?" He asked with his mouth full. Flavour? Liking? I looked at him confused and embarrassed, "I-I-I haven't had one before," I fumbled with the tinky in my hand, avoiding Ethan's hazel eyes. He smiled at me reassuringly, "try it, if you don't like it, there are other flavours." I giggled at that as I opened the packet and took my first bite. Let me just say, it was absolute heaven. I shoved the whole thing in my mouth and wanted to even keep the paper so I shoved it in the pocket of my sweats. "And?" He asked and I smiled and gave him a thumbs up, "that's great!" He smiled at me and for once, I didn't feel like a low ranking omega but an actual person. "Would you like to hang out more?" He asked and I glanced at his bedside clock, "I can't, it's almost dinner time and I have kitchen duty." He nodded at me as if he understood. I smiled awkwardly as I stuffed the dirty towels in the laundry basket and put up some clean towels, "if you want to shower here, you're more than welcome." I felt my cheeks blush at his offer and shrugged as I tried to ignore him and work, "I need to change the sheets." He stepped aside and watched me speed clean his room just in time as Ro came to check up on everything. Ethan opened the door and let her in, "sorry, my lord, I just wanted to check on Selena here, she's been gone a long time." I opened my mouth to excuse myself, "it was my fault, I came in as she was cleaning and had her do my homework too!" Ro's face went from one of stress to relief. She smiled at me. "That's good to hear but sorry my lord, she has other chores." He nodded as I pushed my cart out and left.
