Selena POV:
My eyes were closed when I felt the strong gust of wind and heard the force of a struggle. My eyes snapped open to look at the brown wolf that had ripped out whimpering rogues throat. It was always in the end that I felt sorry for them, it wasn't their choice to be a rogue and it was only in the last few seconds that death would come when they would recover a bit of humanity before the closed their eyes forever. It was painful to watch, it was also painful to hear their wolves beg one last time for mercy. The brown wolf now satisfied with how dead the rogue wolf was and I phrase it that way because come on, you ripped out the guy's throat, how much more alive can he truly be? He looks at me and growls and I take a step back on reflex and then he shifts. It was Isaac, he was standing in front of me naked as a new born and looking at me with venom. "Were you trying to run Selena?" He asks coldly and I stare back at him blankly, "no," is all I can say because I couldn't think of a better response or excuse. I was in deep s**t now. He stares at me, his eyes narrowed before he grabs my arm tightly and starts to drag me, "hey! Get off!" I struggle, trying to escape his grip but he turns around and slaps me hard across the face. I am stunned for a moment and he continues to drag me along by my arm and I contemplate fighting him but soon we are standing with whole group of warriors and who am I kidding? I could never take Isaac in a fight so why would I even consider taking five of them? I don't know, I blame it on werewolf cockiness. "He'll have you whipped for this!" He whispers in my ear as he rougly pushes and drags me along, I suppress the urge to roll my eyes but I do make sure that I bite my tongue to avoid saying something. "Got nothing to say for once Selena?" He mocks and I turn my face and look at him hard, "nothing your small brain would be able to comprehend." It takes him awhile to understand what I had just said before he slaps me again and growls, he probably wants to shift and rip my throat out about now. The Alpha's son enters the room and he looks at me and then Isaac and then Isaac's hand with his steel grip. "Isaac," he greets respectfully, Isaac nods to him and attempts to drag me along again, "I'll take her from here." I narrow my eyes at Ethan. Not once in all of the years at school together, has he, and I mean ever, intervened. I wonder why now? "Ethan, are you sure?" Ask's Isaac, even he is not convinced of Ethan's intentions and why should he be, he wasn't cold or cruel, he was just... complacent. Everyone loved Ethan and trust me that did not make Alice happy and she was his girlfriend, the betas daughter, what a clichè honestly. Ethan walked up to me and grabbed my wrist gently and pulled me along with him while Isaac watched us disappear through the doors that would eventually lead us either to his father's office or the dungeons. I found myself walking along with Ethan as he held onto my wrist, it was so gentle and yes, I was surprised because he never stood up for me at all when we were in school, if anything, he would just get up and leave or put his ear phones on and ignore the bullying. He did that with anything he that was too violent for his eyes. It was pathetic in all honesty. He was taking me to the dungeon. Well, it would be better than a whipping. No, luck was never on my side because right in that moment, "Ethan?" Called the Alpha's voice and I felt him freeze, his grip on my wrist tightening, "yes?" He asked as he turned around, forcing me to turn around too and you won't believe who stood next to him, smirking like a jerk. Isaac that f*****g son of a b***h! Literally! "Isaac here, informed me that Selena," the mention of my name is said in a cold hard tone, opposite to the gentle tone used for Ethan's name, "was caught trying to escape." "I'm aware, I was taking her to the dungeons." Ethan replied in a neutral tone, "I see, son." He smiled at Ethan so warmly and so affectionately as Ethan nodded and bowed slightly before pulling me along with force to the dungeons.
