The letter

Selena POV:

I laid awake again next to Ethan who snored softly, the best sleep had been after our lengthy s*x sessions. I felt my p***y throb at the thought of s*x with him and I rolled on my side to face him, my heart beating faster just remembering the different positions. I sighed deeply as my body shivered with excitement. Tomorrow, I will get my wolf and I will mark him back. I couldn't help but smile and feel my heart beat faster at the thought. It would be amazing to finally shift and we could run together. I wonder what my wolf would be like or what color my wolf will be? I let out a breath of excitement as I pondered over all these questions.

"You're awake already?" Asked Ethan groggily, "Mhmmm," I giggled as I smiled at him broadly, "I'm glad to see my baby so cheerful in the morning, what caused this?" He asked and I giggled, "tomorrow's my birthday!" He smiled as he rolled on top of me, and started smothering my face in wet butterfly kisses, "and that means you get your wolf and we can be fully marked!" I was giggling with how much his lips were tickling me.

"I can't wait to mark you!" I squealed and he buried his face in my neck, kissing my mark. "You're going to be all mine Ethan!" I exclaimed and he c****d an eye brow, "well, I'm lucky I got to make you mine and oh!" He kissed my nose softly, "I can't wait to be yours!" He rolled off of me but my body wanted him in other ways now. The heat between my legs had returned. Ethan sat up and swung his legs over the edge of the bed, I crawled over to him and started showering his back with kisses, hinting at what I wanted. He grabbed my hands and kissed them before turning towards me, "I can't my love, I have to go for patrol duty now." I frowned and he continued to kiss my hands, "don't be upset," he said as he tried to comfort me, "I will be back in no time to give you what you want," he growled and I wrapped my arms around him, "can't you give me a quicky!" I tried to reason but he smiled and pushed himself away from me, "it's never a quicky with you and you know that!" He teased as he tried to hide his boner. I giggled feeling very content with myself, knowing that he would be just as sexually frustrated as me.

"By the way," he said as he pulled on some sweat pants, "yes?" I smiled and he blew me a quick kiss, "my mother would like to take you out for breakfast," my smile faltered at his words. "Why?" I asked as all playfulness disappeared, "because you're going to be her future daughter?" He answered as he pulled on a shirt. "What's wrong?" He asked, noticing my silent mood and my sullen face, "I don't know Ethan," I said turning away from him and wrapping the covers around my naked body, "please Selena, I know what they did is unforgivable but is there any way we can put it behind us and move on?" He asked, I sighed, not knowing what to do.

I would have to put it behind me at some point. I couldn't stay with Ethan and just hide in his room and he wouldn't be able to hide away from the pack. He was right but I wish I didn't have to sit down and eat breakfast with my family's murderer. "Okay," I agreed and he smiled at me, bending over and giving my cheek a quick kiss, "thank you baby." I gave him a small smile and then he rushed out for his patrol duty while I fell back on the bed, sexually frustrated, anxious and dreading sitting down with the monster in law.

A knock on the door, distracted me for a moment from my raging hormones and paralyzing thoughts. "Who is it?" I called but there was no answer. Refusing to answer the door naked, I pulled on Ethan's shirt from last night and padded over to the door. My heart was racing as I opened the door just a little to see who it was. I let out a deep sigh of relief when I saw it was no one but as I was about to close the door, I saw a note on the floor and bent down to pick it up before I slammed the door and locked it.

I turned the white envelope around in my hand but it didn't say who it was to, "hmmm..." I carefully opened the sealed envelope to find a letter inside and a sachet of some white powder. "What the?" I emptied the contents onto the bed as I sat down myself, the sachet of white powder had no label or indication of what it was. There was a letter and so I picked it up and began to read.

"Dear Selena

I am so sorry that I had to leave but my life was in danger. I found a safe place for now to hide and will return once you are Luna of the pack.

I worry about your wolf and if she will have enough strength to come out tomorrow so I have left you a little gift, add it to your tea. It is some medicine that will help strengthen your wolf. Now that you are with Ethan, your wolf should be able to draw on him as well.

But please Selena, make sure that you drink the powder with your tea. We are banking on your wolf so that we may return home!

My heart was beating in my chest and in my ears but I also felt a sense of relief over come me at the end of the letter. She was okay! I fell back on to the bed and held up the letter, reading it all over again. So all I needed to do was drink this sachet with some tea huh?

I picked up the white powder, inspecting it for some kind of indication of what it was but clearly Ro didn't want me to know. I shrugged and stood up, putting the letter and sachet into a drawer as I called on an omega for some tea. I needed my wolf, Ro was right.
