Raine searched Garrett’s eyes. Kayla didn’t know what they were saying to each other and she wasn’t going to get between them. She sensed their attraction and it was suffocating her. The chemistry was too overwhelming for her to handle and she wondered if this is what Raine felt like with Kayla and Byron. Their father was the first to break the silence. “The gods blessed them with power to beat this curse.” Their father explained walking up to Ares who was scowling at him. He still had one of Raine’s knives dug into his shoulder. Garrett broke eye contact with Raine when he looked at their father.
