C24- The Mission

Third Person's POV
As Elder Cuthbert finished his work at the top of the tower, hurriedly enters the hall of the throne, the King's voice was echoed at the hall. The King is excited to meet him. He hurriedly asks the elder.
"So, what happened in your work?" The King said. Elder Cuthbert gives the King a curt nod first before he replies.
"My King, the power emitted was from Amerigo." The Elder said.
"Oh! Amerigo. Are you sure?" The King stood and paced back and forth.
"Yes, my king. What do you want me to do now, your highness?" The Elder asks. He patiently waits for the king's answer.
"Hmm..." The king silently thinks deeply for a moment. After a while, he looks at Elder Cuthbert before he gives the command.
"Ok, send a mission to find that power in Amerigo. Get the best rank officers and warriors. Assign to them this mission. I want you to do this right now! " The King said in his commanding voice.
"Yes, your highness, right now!" The Elder bow down his head and walk out from the hall of the throne to carry the King's order. The King smiled evilly then laughs out loud. His laugh makes the hall tremble.
He called the Royal Commander. The Royal commander bows down his head to the Elder.
"What do you want me to do, Elder Cuthbert?" The Royal commander asked.
"Call higher ranks warrior and let me see them at the Testimonii Praetorium (meeting hall)." Elder Cuthbert said to the Royal Commander. The Royal commander gives him a curt nod and replies.
"Yes, Elder Cuthbert." Then the Royal Commander walked away to carry the Elder's order. Elder Cuthbert proceeds to the Testimonii Praetorium after the Royal Commander walks away from him.
The Royal Commander announces to the higher ranks officer that Elder Cuthbert is waiting for them to the Testimonii Praetorium to announce the King's command.
After a while, the higher rank officers are now gathered in Testimonii Praetorium. Elder Cuthbert walks to the center. Looking each higher ranks at his front.
"Companions. Higher rank officers. I just called you this time for an emergency mission." As Elder Cuthbert starts. The Higher rank officer looks at each other quietly. Some are whispering, some are very curious about what is the mission all about.
"Now, listen!" Elder said. And their attention goes back to the Elder.
"Yesterday, The King and I feel the strong power that emits from somewhere." The Elder starts. The officers were gasps.
"Yes. I don't know if you feel that, too." The Elder looks at them intently.
"Yes." They said in unison.
"But we are not sure about it. Maybe it's a thunderstorm somewhere." As someone says.
"Yeah, " The other agreed.
"Hmm, I'm glad. At least I don't have to explain in detail about this power that emits yesterday." As the Elder paced back and forth while talking, both his hands were at his back.
"So, Elder, where is this power come from and who is it?" One of the lady's higher rank officers asks.
"Hmm. That is a good question but the tricky part is... I can't see who or what it is emitting this power!" The Elder admitted it with a deep sigh. The crowd gasps.
"So that 'thing' is so stronger than you, Elder Cuthbert?" One of the higher ranks asks. Elder Cuthbert squinted his eyes but his lips keep tightly and nodded.
"Yes. I believe this is more powerful than me. I admit that. That is why the king is very interested in this matter." Elder Cuthbert said.
" But how is that happened, Elder? You are one of the powerful vampires and an elder!" The she-vamp asking couldn't believe what she heard. She put her hands to her mouth to cover it.
"That is why I told you that power is so powerful that even I, my power, cannot penetrate." The Elder said calmly and amuse.
"So what is this mission, you want us to do, Elder? Do you want us to find out this power?" Ask one of the vampires.
"Hmm, brilliant mind! My child. Yes! The King wants to know what this kind of power is. Who or what is this thing. That is your mission. Find it as soon as possible." The Elder said.
"So where we can find it, Elder Cuthbert?" The man beside the she-vamp asked.
"The power emitted in Amerigo. So you should go there. Bring that power here. This is the King's order." The Elder said firmly. He looks to the Royal Commander and says;
"So I want you, Royal Commander to assign the three higher rank officers for this mission and give them our best warriors. We don't know what this power is, so we should take extra care." As Elder Cuthbert says worriedly.
"Yes, Elder Cuthbert." The Royal Commander gives the Elder a curt nod.
"So, I must leave for the moment. When you are done, Royal Commander, report to me, ok?" The Elder said.
"Yes. Elder Cuthbert."
"Hmm." And the Elder disappeared in the blink of an eye.
