"So you are a gang or group that kidnaps the teenagers?" Carlos asked.
"I'm solo on my way but they are other groups who did it. I don't mingle with them because I am not evil like them." Jasper said. I arch my brow.
"So what did you do to your victim of k********g?" I ask.
"I just bring them to the group if Vladimir is not there. And honestly, I don't know what happened to the victims. After I turned over them, I walk away. Because it is not my business anymore. I am. a decent vampire." He said.
"What about the killing in this town?"
"Oh, I don't kill them, huh! The group kills them. They are hungry, they feed on them." He says.
What is the name of this group?" Carlos asked.
"The Bancroft clan, Karayan Clan, and Kearne Clan."
"Oh? There are three groups?" Carlos asked
"Yes," Jasper said. I sighed.
"So why do they get the heart of the victim without wounding the victim or stabbing their heart? I asked.
" Oh, that is the works of the Karayan clan," Jasper said.
"May I?" Jasper asks for the shot glass of blood. Carlos gave him another shot.
"Karayan? Why do they do that?" I asked.
"Oh, Karayan clan has dark-soul. They are also known to use black magic." Jasper says.
"When I will be free?" Jasper asked.
"I will set you free in one condition?" I said.
"W-what condition?"
"You will be my eyes and ears from these groups," I said.
"W-what? Are you giving me my death sentence?! They are ruthless, powerful, and evil. N-no! N-no!" Jasper refuse.
"Jasper, we need an ally like you. If you will agree, not only you will be free even your family." I offered.
"N-no! Hey, what? How did you know?"
"I can see your past. You gamble and lose to the point that your family was threatened that is why you are working with Vladimir, right?" I say.
"Oh, there you say it now. I can't keep a secret from you." He plops his elbow at the table.
"You promise me that you will protect me, now, you are not protecting me, you are pushing me to my death." He squinted his eyes.
"Yes, I promise you that. I didn't forget. That is why if you agree, I will prepare you for your mission." I said.
"How? They are witches, too, aside from being vampires. They will see my memory. I cannot escape from them." He said.
"That is why I will erase your memory tonight talking with us and spilling everything you know. So you will be safe and this is my first step to protect you." I said. His eyes grow wide.
"Oh, really?! You can do that?" He asked.
"Yes, I can protect you as long you follow me," I say.
"Ok. Good. But what about my family? I want them to be safe." Jasper asks.
"Not to worry, about that. I have a plan for them. So, now, what do you think?" I ask.
"I will be double agent, then. Are you sure you can protect me and my family? I am warning you, they are the strongest one, I mean their coven." He said anxiously. I smirk.
"Why you don't try me?" I convince him. He keeps quiet for a moment. Thinking. He sighed.
" Ok, if you can protect me and my family in this mission, you can count me in." He said.
"Ok. Good. Give him the bottle." I said to Carlos. Carlos gives him the bottle and he immediately drinks it.
"For now, you can stay here tonight for we have to make arrangements for you with Alpha," I said.
"Ok. Cool" he said and he finish the bottle of blood.
"We will take our leave now," I said. Then I wave my right hand at his face, a gold pixie dust dance along with my hand, and disappeared when I'm done.
"W-what is that?" He asked.
"I remove your memory with us tonight and put the nice one, for precaution."
"Oh, that is cool. Ok, ask Alpha to free me tomorrow, ok?"
"Ok," I said.
"Have a good night's sleep, Jasper," Carlos said.
"Sure," Jasper said. He goes to the bed in the corner of the room. The guard lock again his prison cell. We go back to Carlos's house.
"So what now?" Carlos asked.
"Tomorrow, we will ask Alpha to free him and start his first mission. We should have allies from enemies." I said.
"Do you think this is a safe thing to do?" Carlos asks.
"Carlos, there is nothing safe in this place and the whole town. The only thing we can be safe is if we do the thing that will make us safe, even it is risky. After all, life is risky. Besides you ask for my help. So are you still in or not?" I said turn around to him and smirking.
"But could you trust this Jasper? I mean he easily agreed to your terms. I am doubting that." Carlos. said. I sigh.
"I see his memories, he is not that nad person. It's just that he was addicted to gambling to the point that his life is in danger now and his family. So he made a deal with that Vladimir, to give him a contract as a servant." I said
"Oh?"
"Yes, we have no choice now. We have to take risks now. We need a secret agent. Isn't it better than nothing?" I said.
"Oh, yeah. You are right. Come let's get rest now."Carlos said and we go home.
