Jasper's POV
Darius together with his brother and sister go to the center stage. They are quiet but they have a fierce look that even the bravest vampire will be cowardly by looking at them, I think. The crowd feels their strong aura that gives me goosebumps, so I get my wine and drink it. They look at the crowd. The music stops and the crowd stops what they're doing and looks at the three people on the stage.
"All of you, listen. Tonight, we will celebrate for something big will happen soon!" Darius announce. The crowd looks confused about what Darius says. Darius scanning them before says;
"I know all of you are confused and maybe you don't understand what I am talking about. I won't beat around the bush. The higher rank officers, the three famous officers will visit us here at Seward park!" Darius says. The crowd gasps and was excited when they heard what Darius said.
"Really!" A vampire shouts excitedly.
"Wow!" Another vampire exclaim.
"That is great!" Some other says.
"Yes. The famous commanders of our Kingdom will visit will be here soon. So we will have a welcome party here when they arrive." Darius said smiling. The crowd went crazy and shouts.
"When my Lord the commanders will visit us?" Somebody asks.
"Well for a couple of weeks they are here. You will know, I'll make sure of that." Darius reply with a grin. The crowd cheers!
"So let us celebrate their coming, yeah?!" Darius says.
"Yeah!" The crowd cheers.
Amanda and I look at each other.
"So the famous commanders of our kingdom are coming. I wonder why they will visit us." She says as she sips the wine with her arching brow. She moves elegantly.
"Hmm, did I hear sarcastic remarks?" I said sipping my wine and smiling seductively.
"Oh, why are you saying that?" Amanda says overdramatic.
"It is in your voice, my dearest." I get her hand and plant a kiss on it. She laughed seductively.
"Oh, Jasper! Too much imagination, eh! Ha! Ha! Ha!" As she laughed. Her laugh is so lovely to my ears. I smile happily. I whisper to her.
"If you have a dispute with the commanders, I won't say it to anyone. I promise." I said and wink at her. I love to flirt with her. I draw my finger to her flawless smooth cleavage.
"Ah, Ha! Ha! Ha! You are so funny!" Her eyes become one line with her beautiful long thick eyelashes. I think she is not ready to reveal her secrets so I will give her time.
"Ok, I won't force you to tell me but I am always here for you, honey." I get my calling card and give it to her.
"You can call me on those numbers," I said.
"Oh, why? Thank you." She says as she keeps my calling card after looking at it for a minute. Suddenly her phone rings. She gets it and checks the caller.
"Hey, excuse me." She says apologetically.
"Sure, no problem," I say smiling at her. She walks outside for getting a peaceful place because the inside is very noisy because of music and the crowd partying.
I drink my wine alone thinking deeply about Amanda. She has many secrets to tell, I swear I feel it. She is mysterious. Anyway, I get back my mind to the three commanders. Why a sudden visit to Seward Park. All is well here. Hmmm, I smell something fishy. I play my wine in goblet circling and drink it as my last shot.
It was been a long time that past since Amanda had not yet been back. Why she is not back yet? What happened to her? It was thirty minutes past? This time I follow to the door she gets out.
I open the door. The dark embrace me.
"Amanda?" I call her name. There is no one answered.
"Amanda?" As my second time calling her. Again, no one answer.
"Amanda?...Amanda?" I said with a soft voice. I searched her all over the place but she disappeared without a trace.
"Where are you, Amanda?" This time I am panicking so I call her aloud. I felt emptiness. For hours of searching, I lost my energy and feel like I am stuck in a deep hole. I didn't notice Archos.
"Hey, Jasper! How's the party?" He greets me.
"Huh!" I am startled, seems I am trying to recall his face. When I remember his face then I felt that I was back on earth.
"Oh, hey, Archos. I am fine. Thanks." I said. I didn't notice that I am at the gate.
"Seems you are not in yourself, Jasper. Are you okay?" Archos said.
"Oh, n-no, I-i am just fine," I said but I feel that my throat is dry. He looks at me suspiciously.
"Uhm, hey. Did you notice a woman?" I ask Archos.
"A woman? Yes." He said. I feel my energy back and my hope rises.
"Oh, really?" I said enthusiastically.
"Of course, yes! There are lots of women here...see?" As he opens his arms widely and looks around the women in the place. My smile was lost. I feel like biting his neck and draining up all his blood until even one drop of his blood is none to drop.
He looks at me and says;
"Oh, hey. Why are you looking like that?" He says. I shook my head.
"Oh, nothing." I rub my palm at my face.
"Oh, hey, do you know a woman whose name is Amanda?" I ask.
"Amanda?" He replies.
"Yes. Amanda." I smile hoping he knew the woman. He shook his head.
"No. None. I don't know who's Amanda is." He answered. I lost all my hopes.
"Ok, then. Thanks, bro. I have to go. See you next time." I said as I tap his shoulder. He taps my shoulder, too.
"Ok, bro. See you again next time." He replies.
"Yeah, sure. I have to go now. Bye." I wave my hand at him and leave the place.
