Author’s Note
As my beta reader pointed out to me, the legalities and hoops to jump through in order to ship animals among nations are humongous, daunting, and s-l-o-w. Even getting work permits for other country’s citizens is not quick and easy. I know this, but who wants to read all that stuff? Like many love stories, this tale is, in many ways, a fairy tale. In fairy tales, a prince or princess or other Special Person can work magic and make things happen in the flick of a wand, the blink of an eye or a genie type wish. Can you suspend disbelief long enough that these “realities” don’t muck up the story? I hope so, for both our sakes!
