Parties are not my thing

Olivia's Point of View Two months later “Hey? Guess what?” Kim came rushing to my desk as I raised my eyebrows waiting to hr what she had for me, it’s been two months since I became friends with Kim. I just found out she isn’t such a bad person and aunt Rita was right to tell me to be friends with her. “You finally dropped out of your music class>” I questioned her and she faked a smile before pulling a chair and sitting on it. “No Silly, it’s not that. Try guessing again” she questioned me vividly smiling at me while playfully winking at me, I paused for a minute trying to think what exactly she might think about. “Is it something to do with you going to see your mom?”  I questioned her while tapping my chin with my index finger “No...” She let out a flat one, looking at me like I was no fun at all. “Okay, what is it?” I questioned her as she grinned ear to ear. “There’s a house party at Gawain’s and guess whom he invited?” She said to me as I sighed heavily. “You? I am certain he has” I said to her, sitting away from her. She furrowed her eyebrows, looking at me. “O, come on… it’s just some fun that we are going to be having nothing more to it,” She said trying to convince me as I shook my head. “It’s underage drinking and people having s*x, I don’t think that’s fun,” I said to her standing up picking my books so I can go home. “We won’t be drinking or anything, just dancing to music and if you are not comfortable just tell me, then we can both leave…. Please, I need you to come with me,” She said to me as I shook my head. I made my way to the hallway heading to my locker, “Please? I swear I will do anything you ask of me just accompany me” she pleaded with me but I would do nothing she asks of me. I just turned sixteen years but I couldn’t risk being at parties, I would disappoint my mum if she were alive. “Pretty, please?” she clapped her hands together closing her eyes, I pursed my lips together before sighing heavily. “Fine, I will first have to ask aunt Rita if she’s fine with it,” I said to her as she grinned at me, “You are the best, I will wait for you tomorrow!” She said leaning over kissing my cheek before she rushed off going for her music class. She hated the class, but she had to take it if she was going to apply for arts at the University. I smiled at myself, putting my books in the locker and grabbing my bag. I was knocking off early today because I didn’t have an afternoon class on Friday. I made my way to the car and found Jeff standing outside; I didn’t like being driven, but I had to follow Aunt’s way of living. “Hey, Jeff?  You are early today?” I said to him as he smiled at me. “Yes, I was told to take you back early because I have to pick your uncle later,” He said to me as I nodded my head going to sit in the back seat of the car before playing in my headsets listening to music on my iPod. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>  It was dinnertime, and I had to help aunt Rita to prepare dinner, I stood by the kitchen counter peeling the garlic she had just given me to help with, I patiently waited for her to finish talking on the phone but it wasn’t ending. I finished peeling the garlic and chopped the onions too, but she seemed to be so busy; I went ahead helping her to make the gravy she wanted, and thankfully she finished with her call. “Uh… Aunt Rita?” I called her name softly. “Yes?” she replied without looking at me, I bit my lower lip while stirring in the gravy. “So, Kim was invited to a house party, and she asked me if I could come with her…. I didn’t give her…” I wanted to say, and she turned to me, placing her phone on the table. “House party?  That sounds like something fun…” She said, a smile curling up on her lips. “Yes, so I thought maybe if you were fine with it, I can go with her,” I said to her as she nodded her head “I am fine with it… Just tell me when you will come back and I can arrange for Jeff to pick you up,” She said to me as I pursed my lips. “Well…. Kim will drive so I will go with her and she will drop me off,” I said to her, and she nodded her head. “You can go with her,” She said to me as I faked a smile. Any normal parent wouldn’t allow someone a child of my age to have a party, but anyway I will have to go. “thank you, Auntie,” I said to her, and she smiled at me before coming to check on the gravy. The next day being a Saturday, I first took the time to study in the morning and when it was around 5 pm, I started by taking a shower and came out to get dressed. I first wore a jean and a vest looking at myself in the mirror, I looked like I was grocery shopping with auntie. I took off the clothes and tried on something else; I checked myself in the mirror and the dress went up around my knees a few inches. I had a slender body with pale skin and the dress that I wore just showed my skin. I hated my body because of the way I was looking for. “Need help?” I heard my aunt ask me as I sighed heavily, I nodded my head turning to her as she smiled briefly at me before coming in. “Let’s see what do you have?”  she said going to my closet going through all the clothes I had, she kept on shaking her head before she settled for a dress that she had bought the last time we went together shopping. It was a short-sleeved light-yellow dress, and it seemed showed to me, but it was okay after I tried it on; I showed my knees and part of my thighs. “Here put this on,” She said, passing me a denim jacket to put on top. She nodded her head as it satisfied her with the outfit she picked. “What do you think?”  She turned me to look in the mirror, I looked okay and I was fine with it. “I think this will do!”  I said to her as she smiled at me, tilting her head as she looked at me. “I should get going now….”  I said wanting to get myself my small bag. She asked out of my room first. “Wait, I have something to help you with your makeup,” She said to me before rushing to her room, I nodded my head waiting for her to come back. When she finally did, she had some makeup in her hands. “Here, let’s do something to your face” She excitedly said to me but I shook my head “Sorry, but I think I am fine like this,”  I said to her biting my lower lip. She raised her eyebrows. “Come on, it’s not that bad…. Just trust me, okay?” She said to me as I swallowed hard, “If you don’t like it I will remove it”  She said to me as I nodded my head going to sit on the chair in front of my dressing table as she went on applying the makeup on my face. She did it in a way that it was not so visible and the lipstick was not that light. “You look great!”  She said to me as I checked myself in the mirror. “Thank you. I should get going now.”  I said to her as she nodded her head. “Have fun!”  She shouted after me as I made my way out of the bedroom going o the staircase so I can leave. I just the time and it was already forty minutes past Six. I arrived downstairs and found Kim already in the house. “Wow! You look different” She said to me as I smiled briefly at her, I was so nervous such that I could feel my hands get so sweaty. “Thank you… Are you wearing that?”  I asked her. She was wearing a shirt that showed her butt cheeks and a vest with a checked black shirt. “Yes, It’s not that bad… Let’s go now!”  She said to me as she dragged me along with her. We got in the car and she drove off to the party. I wondered what the party was like. We got to the party which was just a few streets away from home and it was loud with lots of cars parked outside. WoW! These kids must be rich! I inwardly thought to myself as I got out of the car. “Relax, just be yourself okay?”  She said to me as I walked to the front down with her. I didn’t have any words to say but just nodded my head. We walked to the gate and found two bodyguards at the gate, Guards? That’s something. “Names?”  one of them asked us. “Kim and Olivia,” She said as she waited for him to confirm our names. “Kim and her friend?”  the big guy asked us as she nodded her head. “Go in!”  He said moving away from the door as we let ourselves in the yard walking towards the house, e found people making out outside as I raised my eyebrows at Kim who just smiled at me before making our way inside. When we got inside the house, I was super shocked. The living room had dim lights with different colors and smoke all over, everything just reeked of alcohol and smoke. Teenage party? This was more like an adult party. “Hey? I will look for Gawain, find somewhere we can sit” She shouted through the loud music as I tried to grab her hand so she doesn’t leave me alone, but she was gone. Mouthing something at me as I swallowed hard, watching her vanish in the crowds. I wanted to turn and leave, but I knew she would complain for days. I guess this is what they called peer pressure; I thought inwardly as I pushed myself through the crowds who were dancing all sweaty.  Before I found myself in the back of the house.  I found that there was other people's house outside; it was a pool party with people swimming and drinking. I thought I would find just a few people, but oh god! It was like he invited all the 11th grades and seniors than us. “Well…. If it isn’t the school’s saint!”  I heard someone shouted behind me as I swallowed hard, wanting to turn and leave, but Jaden and his friends came and blocked my way. “Look at this bro! Whom is she trying to impress?”  Jaden said before his friends burst out in laughter. Jaden was Ethan’s best friend, and I knew he didn’t mean well for me. “Wait! Did you also come to lose your virginity to someone here like your friend?”  He questioned me as tears filled up in my eyes. How did he know that I was a virgin? Did Kim tell him? “You know that I can do something for you but when I think of the possibility of you not being shaven? I just feel like throwing up!”  He said to me as I looked away, “Just leave me alone!”  I said to him almost inaudible. “Wait! I know what we can do… I might…”  He said, coming closer to me as I moved my head away from him. He reeked of alcohol, and now I was scared. His friends stood behind me as he kept walking towards me. “Did you wear this for us?”  He questioned as he tried to bring his hands on my body. I pulled my jacket to cover my cleavage. “Oh, come on! You will love it!”  He said to me as he wanted to run fingers on my face. Before I knew it, his friend tried to grab my hands. “Please, just leave me alone!” I cried as I held on to my body, it scared me for myself as they laughed hard, it’s like they enjoyed seeing me in pain. I needed to make a run for it so they don’t take advantage of me. I pushed my way past Jaden before I rushed out of the backyard going around the house. I ran as fast as I could, checking if Jaden and his friend were following me. I tripped into someone who just groaned as I fell to the ground. Who in their right mind sleeps in a place like this? Was he drunk? I tried to stand up, but I hurt myself. Ethan stood upcoming face to face with me as I started moving back, he brushed his hair back as he looked at me from head to my thighs. Was he eyeing me? I inwardly asked myself as tears fell from my eyes. “Leave me alone!”  I cried, trying to find something to hit him with, but it was all grass around me. He just scoffed before walking past me. He looked sober and like he was sad about something. That wasn’t any of my business. I dragged myself off the ground as I looked ahead, thinking of what to do. I needed to leave this place; I ran as fast as I could leaving this place. I told myself that I would rather be home sleeping that finding myself in such a place. It took some time for me before I finally reached home. Even as I walked home, I felt like people were following me. Tears fell from my eyes as I thought of what could happen to me. By the time I was reaching home it was already 8 pm, I pressed the intercom button so that someone can open the gate for me. “Hello?”  Aunt Rita was the one who answered “Auntie… it’s me,” I said, trying so hard so I didn't break down. I saw the gate open, and I was quick to get in the yard before rushing to the house.  As soon as I opened the door, I found my aunt was waiting for me. “Oh, my god Olly, what happened to you?”  She questioned me as I talked past her tears falling from my eyes, I made my way past her running to my room. I just wanted to be left alone, I got in my room and slammed the door before falling to the floor as I whimpered silently.
