I was beyond shocked by his response, seeing as that was the last thing I expected him to say.
With a shake of my head, I cleared my throat then asked, “A joke, right?”
“Why the hell would I be joking over such an important matter? You really think I'd ever joke about something as serious as this.” He rapped and I scoffed.
That prompted him to roll his eyes. “You look surprised.” He chuckled. “Hold on, don't tell me you hoped I’d instantly be uninterested in her as soon as you revealed that she’s pregnant to me.”
As he spoke, I internally groaned and massaged my forehead.
