As I exited the room, a text came in and I checked it at once. It didn’t take long for a call to follow suit. It was a quick conservation that had me mostly nodding my head in reply until the call finally ended as I climbed down the stairs.
As I stepped through the large doors, it was to receive Cami's father. He was the one whom I had just spoken to moments ago, whereby he had informed me of his arrival.
My eyes landed on him almost immediately. He had a grim look over his face and so did his council members whom I had asked that he bring along.
“Welcome." I greeted, offering a hand which he accepted.
“Don’t forget the deal.” He grumbled and I rolled my eyes while glancing sideways.
