ALEXA To be honest, it had been a rather awkward evening, one which I was starting to regret as the hours regressed. In the distance, an old pool radio played classical music that made the tempo of the room somewhat manageable for the moment. In a way, it soothed my soul from letting out that outburst that had been pending all evening. The rain from earlier that evening now trickled and dripped down crystal bubbles outside the window, a soft but steady breeze provided the perfect interlude. The chairs were soft and the food was good, but of course something had to ruin it, and that was… their presence. I had been irritated all evening at Gina's antics since the start of this dinner, especially because she had been the one to pressure me to come down to the table even after I declined
