“Well, look at this!” Crissy’s eyes flew wide open. Instantly, she bolted upright twisting around to look behind her. A framed figure stood in the doorway, clad all in black and silhouetted against the light. She yelped and spun around to find herself face to face with Katerina Lattimore, who stood with arms folded across her chest, booted feet set wide apart, studying the flustered girl with a look of haughty disdain.
