As the sun slowly rose in the sky, the light of daybreak illuminated the forest giving it an almost ethereal appearance for anyone who was observing it. Still, not all the places received this light.
“*Ugh* *Cough* *Cough*”
A young boy, who was hidden deep in a cave, began to convulse as pain shot through his whole body while he began to cough blood.
*Pant* *Pant* *Pant*
He opened his previously closed eyes and began to look around him with a vacant look. As if he was trying to better understand where he was. Still, this situation didn’t linger for too long as he began to gather his wits. It was then that a bitter smile formed on his face,
“I have failed.”
He wasn’t really that disappointed. Nor was he surprised. It was just how things were. He knew that just “trying” wasn’t enough.
