Harold dresses quickly and goes out to work with Mr Daniel.
As soon as they leave, Leah also goes out with her little brother to look for a job.
She first tries to find a job as a maid, but all the houses she goes to already have maids. Then she tries her Luck in restaurants, but none of the restaurant owners need any more workers, too.
It is only after midday when she gives up and goes back to Harold's house.
What she doesn't know is that Harold had only gone to his company to employ her step father and immediately left to follow her. He made himself invisible and whispered in in every employer's ear that Leah asks for a job to turn her down. The people, of course, did not hear what he said exactly, they just felt a strong need to refuse the girl even when there was a job available
