Carla’s P.O.V
I had showered and changed my clothes, heading downstairs to have dinner, not that I really had an appetite anymore. The thought of my parents being here was driving me nuts and I had so many questions racing around my mind. I pushed the food around on my plate, just wanting to get this over and done with, but when I looked up I saw that Brandon was staring at me.
“You need to eat. You’re not going anywhere until you have eaten something.” Brandon said, pointing to my plate. I was so deep in thought that when I looked down, I saw that I hadn't even touched a single thing there. I picked up some chicken with my fork and raised it to my mouth, but the thought of eating just made me feel sick and I immediately put it back on the plate.
“I can't, I feel sick to my stomach and I need to know why they are here. I’m going to go talk to them now and when I get back I will eat something then.” I replied, feeling my stomach tense up and knot even more. Brandon looked at me for a few seconds before sighing and nodding.
“Your parents are in a cabin, just down from the pack house, second from the left. Do you want me to come with you?” Brandon asked, but I shook my head.
“No, I have to do this on my own, but thank you.” I replied and got up from my chair. I walked out of the pack house and turned to where the cabins were. I reached the cabin that Brandon said my so-called mother and father were staying in and took a deep breath as I walked up to the door. I knocked on the door a few times before my mother opened the door and as soon as she saw me she moved to the side, letting me in and closing the door behind me. I wasn't in the mood for a catch up with them or any form of chit chat or hugs, I wanted to get to the bottom of this.
“Why are you here? I want the truth. Do you want money because I don't have any? Do you want a place to live? Sorry, but you can't live here.” I said, trying my best to control my anger. I was nervous at first, but as soon as I saw them the anger I felt rushed back, almost taking control of me. They both stood there looking at me before my mother stepped forward.
“We are not here for money or a place to live, we came here to take you back home with us. We paid the money back to him and we want you to come home, Carla. We miss you.” My mom said and I couldn't believe my ears as I stood there staring at them. I had been here for nearly three months now and they hadn't once bothered to come looking for me, so why now?
“Okay, I have been here for three months, mom. Three f*****g months and I havent heard a single word from either of you in that time, but suddenly you have come here wanting me back home. Do you realise I am actually happy here? Oh no, sorry, I forgot you don't actually care about that, do you? Who did you borrow the money from to pay this man back?” I asked as my mother looked at my dad and then it hit me.
“Wait, you only want me back so you can trade me again. That's it, isn't it? This is not happening.” I said, figuring out why they really wanted me back.
“Watch your tone to your mother, young lady. We didn't borrow the money, we sold a few things and I got my job back. We paid back the loan and we want you home, honey.” My dad said and I turned to look at him in shock. How dare he tell me to watch my tone, especially after what they did to me.
“SERIOUSLY?! YOU'RE TELLING ME TO WATCH MY TONE WITH MY SO-CALLED MOTHER AND AS FOR YOU, FATHER, IS IT?!! WERE YOU MY PARENTS WHEN I WAS BEING FORCEFULLY TAKEN OUT OF MY ROOM?!!! WERE YOU MY PARENTS WHO TRADED ME OFF TO PAY BACK THE MONEY YOU OWED?!!! DON'T ACT LIKE EITHER OF YOU CARE!! THE LAST TIME I SAW EITHER OF YOU WAS WHEN I WAS SCREAMING FOR YOU TO HELP ME, BUT DID YOU?!! NO!!! YOU TRADED ME!! YOU LET ME BE AUCTIONED OFF TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER WITH NO CONCERN AS TO WHERE I WOULD END UP OR WHO WITH!! YOU DIDN’T CARE THEN, DID YOU?!!! I'M NOT GOING BACK WITH YOU AND THAT’S FINAL!! I AM THE LUNA OF THIS PACK AND WHAT I SAY GOES!! I'M STAYING HERE AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT THEN THAT'S JUST TOO BAD, SO YOU CAN EITHER LEAVE ON YOUR OWN OR I WILL THROW YOU OUT!!!” I shouted at the top of my lungs, feeling my anger take over me. Parents? Yeah f*****g right. They were no parents to me. I was so focused on my father that I didn't see my mother walking up to me until it was too late. She swung back and smacked me as hard as she could, forcing my head to turn to the side. I looked back at her and grabbed the right side of her face, growling at her, just as Brandon burst through the door.
Brandon’s P.O.V
I could feel how nervous Carla was at dinner and knew that her main focus was on her parents. When she left to go and talk with them I thought it would ease her nerves and make her feel better, but what I felt was an enormous, almost suffocating amount of anger. I knew it could only be coming from Carla, so I ran out of my office and straight to the cabin she and her parents were in, but just as I got there I felt the pain that Carla felt. It wasn't pain from her heart or mind, it was physical pain and that pissed me off. How dare they lay a finger on her. I burst through the door, but it was too late as Carla had her hand on the side of her mothers face and her eyes had turned black with anger. Her mother whimpered as she stood there at her daughter's mercy, while her father tried to step forward and stop Carla, but I growled and stopped him in his tracks.
“You have two minutes to get your f*****g s**t out of this cabin and get the hell out of our territory before I kill you myself. You are no longer my mother and father, you are dead to me.” Carla said, her voice laced with venom and anger. She pushed her mother away from her and she stumbled, but her father managed to catch her before she hit the ground. Carla turned and looked at me before turning back to her parents and stepping closer to them.
“And if you ever lay a hand on me ever again I will break you f*****g arm and shove it up your f*****g ass, now get the hell out of our territory. NOW!!!” Carla said, shouting the last word as she got right in her mothers face. I watched on as they grabbed their clothes and shoes, before running out the door to their car. They quickly got in and sped off, leaving the territory. I looked back at Carla, just as she collapsed on the ground, crying. I ran over to her, kneeling down and pulling her close to me, holding her tightly in my arms.
“It's okay, Carla, they're gone and they are never coming back. I told them you had gotten stronger, but they didn't believe me and said they needed to see you.” I said, rocking her back and forth. Carla stopped crying after a while and hiccupped a few times, as she just sat there, whimpering. If I had known she was going to be so hurt and upset by this I never would have allowed them on the territory, let alone see her.
