ZORA
I banged on the door with everything in me, hoping someone would get tired of my insistent banging.
"Help!!" I screamed,
No one answered, and none of them came rescue.
My body slid down the door, back against it, and my body trembled with fear, anxiety, and terror.
I drew my knees up and placed my head on it. Maybe if I didn't look at the room, I could pretend that I'm safe and in a much bigger place with open windows.
That dream was cut short even before it began.
The only source of light went off, and the room was plunged in total darkness.
A loud scream escaped my lips, and I started hitting the door again.
"Please." I cried, "Open the door."
The monsters came now, cackling and mocking me.
I could make out their shapes in the darkness. They were much more plenty than the last time I saw them.
Deep down, I know they weren't real, but that wasn't helping right now.
"Hello Zora.... it's been a while since you called us out to play." One of them said, coming closer to me.
"No!!" I yelled, swiping at nothing, "I don't want to play, I don't want to see you. Please leave me alone."
"You know what to do to let us go." He grinned.
"Light...." I prayed, "Please turn on the light. I'll do whatever you want me to."
"Too bad help isn't coming your way."
I placed my hands over ears and shook my head vehemently, "You are not real!!" I muttered under my breath, " You are not real."
"Are you sure about that?" He laughed, moving closer to me, and I could swear I felt a caress.
It's my mind playing tricks on me, I know.
I can't help it, I can't help but feel they are real and are cursed to torment me since they started right after I left this pack seven years ago.
Seeing how terrified I was, the others came and gathered around me. I had nowhere to run to, so I did the only thing I could do to keep me sane.
I screamed, making sure their voices were drowned by my screams.
The door opened finally, and I'd long stopped screaming when my throat went dry, and I tasted blood.
The monsters disappeared at the first ray of light.
Agatha peered in, her eyes roaming my body unapologetically, "I see you had a rough night."
"No Agatha," I rasped out as I stood up, "I had the best f*****g night of my life."
"Come on, let's return you back to the-"
I stomped past her, nudging her shoulder accidentally, "Where is Ryker?"
"You will address him as Alpha." Agatha said coldly "and you are in no position to ask for the Alpha."
I looked at her dead in the eyes, "Where is Ryker? Your Alpha?"
She narrowed her eyes and pursed her lips in response.
"Fine." I shrugged, "Let's do this my way then."
"Whatever you are thinking, I suggest you don't go through with it."
"Oh." I scoffed, "Watch me."
I gathered my freaking wedding dress up. It was torn and tattered and I was still in them.
"Ryker Sébastien Esmond!!" I yelled, finding my voice back.
I walked through every corridor and hallways I saw, screaming.
A lot of the workers recognized me instantly, and stood out of my way as I walked past.
My chest panged with hurt, but they don't matter now.
"Ryker Sébastien Esmond!!" I yelled.
Finally, I got to an open area and saw Wesley enter a room.
I lifted my gown higher and matched into the room with him.
As expected, Ryker was in the room.
"Why are you here?" He questioned, eyeing me, "You should with my mother. "
"Did you do it?" I snapped, "Did ask Agatha to do it?"
"Do what?" He asked, looking genuinely confused.
"Lock me up in a freaking storage room!!"
He snorted, "That explains a whole lot and no, I didn't but I'm not surprised seeing as a lot of people hated your guts."
I laughed dryly, "I'm glad I could be worth their time."
"Go back to my mother and stop wasting time here."
"No." I snapped.
"No?" He echoed, raising his perfectly arched eyebrows, and took on step towards me.
"No." I said more firmly, standing my ground even though what I really wanted to do was bolt out of this room.
His gaze was getting too intense for me and scary. Maybe I do have a death wish, seeing as I am glaring back at him in anger.
"When you listen to my demands, I'll make your mother a priority too."
He chuckled and folded his demands, "Let's hear it. Let's hear what the witch has to say."
I opened my mouth to counter that I am not a witch, instead, I took in deep breath and met his gaze, "I want a room of my own, with enough windows and the light under no circumstances can never go off."
"I will consider that when you heal my mother, now get your ass out of my office to the only place where you are useful."
I folded my arms and fixed him a stare, "I swear by the moon goddess, if I don't get a room first, I'm not going anywhere near your mother."
"Since when did you start making demands?" Wesley, his beta piped in.
"Since when I know the survival of his mother depends on me. You wouldn't want to regret not saving your mother because you couldn't let an omega demand things from you or that your ego is too big." I directed the last part at him.
The lines on his neck jumped, and he turned to his beta, "See to her demands." He ordered through gritted teeth.
"Satisfied?" He asked.
I nodded in response and turned on my heels to the door.
Fucking retard.
"What did you just say to me?" He growled, slamming me against the door the next second, "Did you just call me a f*****g retard?"
