Nick pulled back from Janet and sat up, looking down at her with his face twisted in confusion and frustration. He couldn’t be mistaken. Janet's cry of surprise and intense pain....the way he felt her tensing up against him. But there was no way. She herself had told him she wasn't a virgin. But then her reaction didn't add up.
