Nick stared at the beauty in the lake before him wondering if she was a water nymph sent to taunt him. He'd come out here to clear his head, memories of his friend Laryn and guilt like no other consuming him. He got into these moods sometimes where he just simply blamed himself for Laryn's disappearance.
But never in his wildest imaginings had he thought to find this lovely creature in the palace lake. She was everything he could have wished for with beautiful almond shaped eyes the color of cobalt blue. And her lips…her plump lips were begging to be kissed. Her black hair stuck to the sides of her neck and cheeks. Nick itched to intertwine his fingers in that wonderful dark as night hair. An image of her in his bed with her hair splayed across his pillows entered his minds eye.
