Janet made her way to Nick’s private study. She’d been antsy this entire time, wondering exactly what it was that caught Nick’s attention so effectively. As she walked down the halls, she paused to look at the picture of a younger version of King Daemon. Whereas the other Kings looked happy and had pictures with their mates or pups, Daemon stood alone.
