Janet was dreaming. She was a little girl again, holding a lady bug in the palm of her hand. Nicky was looking at her with an indulgent grin. Alpha Johnathon patted her head lovingly. “Until next time poppet,” Alpha Johnathon said tenderly, before walking away. “If you need anything, you know you can call me,” Nicky whispered. “I just want you to stay safe Janet. And don’t get into anymore arguments with those girls,” he warned. 8-year-old Janet pouted. “They told me I wasn’t cool enough to be part of their group of friends,” she argued. “They aren’t worth your time,” Nicky said with a smile. “And once you’re older, none of this will matter.” Nick chuckled. “It’s not like you’ll be living here. You’ll be moving away to live with me. So who cares what those daft girls think anyway
