Janet blearily opened her eyes, closing them almost immediately as a bright white light above her pierced through her pupils and hammered into her skull causing a headache. She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to fight off the searing pain. Slowly, she inched her eyelids open and noticed an IV inserted in her wrist. The bright white light made her eyes blink in quick succession but that didn't mean she couldn't sense HIM. Even before opening her eyes and sensing the medicines being administered to her via IV, Janet could feel his presence as his scent wafted towards her. And it wasn’t just because she was still wearing his shirt. It was because he was there…sitting next to her. She shifted finally to glare at him, wondering what he was doing here. Jordan had been the one to carry her up.
