Janet couldn't believe her eyes. This was Laryn. The woman Nick had been trying to find for so long. A woman who looked completely broken. Her eyes were that of someone who had seen many horrors, someone haunted and very very afraid. Laryn was looking at Janet fearfully. It seemed that the fact Janet knew her name only made her more jumpy.
"We've been looking for you," Janet whispered urgently.
Laryn got an alarmed look on her face and looked around her fearfully, as if she expected to be attacked any minute now.
Janet quickly reached out a hand to grab her shoulder but Laryn panicked and quickly took a few more steps back, dodging Janet's grasp.
"No...no...another trick," Laryn whimpered, tears brimming her eyes as she shook her head from side to side.
Janet faltered, confused.
