Janet distinctly felt a red film cover her eyes as she let out a low displeased growl once Shania's statement sunk in.
“That was over 4 months ago!” Nick exclaimed in a slightly panicked voice, as he looked towards Janet reassuringly.
“It’s been a long 4 months,” Shania commented with a roll of her eyes. “You promised to give me a call.”
“Uhhh,” Nick was looking around, partly wishing the floor would swallow him whole right now. Never had he been so close to losing control of a situation as he was right now. Never had he felt as panicked as he did right now. Two women seemed very displeased with him. Shania didn't matter, but Janet...she meant the world to him.
“Well look who decided to visit me today,” the middle-aged Vice Chancellor exclaimed swinging his office door open.
