Cassian Cade had just ripped out the throat of the second rogue when the scream of our mate filled the silence of the air. Dropping the dead body on the cold ground, we ran in that direction, our heart thumping loudly and painfully squeezing in my chest as we saw the third rogue dive for my escaping mate, but missing thankfully as she jumped to the side.
