Chapter 4 After sliding the pan of brownies into the oven Ian bundled up, dug the second shovel out of the garage, and headed out to help Stephan. Together they made good progress, almost reaching the end of the driveway before the plow buried it under a fresh wave. By then Stephan had already ditched his coat from having worked up a sweat. While he was lamenting the potential for future back pain later in the evening Ian gathered up a handful of snow, crept up behind him, and quickly dumped it down the back of Stephan’s sweater. “Ah!” Stephan shrieked, dropping his shovel and dancing away.
